Backcountry Babe

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

In Spanish, Viaje means journey or travel- and these boots are with for the journey deep into the backcountry no matter how cold the temps get, if your sniffing for powder, these boot are too. I am staying dry, warm in these pow-shredding boots. I have a lot to love about this boot, but one of my favorite things is the liner. It has kept me warm in dry in -5 degree weather and on deep powder days. Though when it is a little warmer, the vents keep me from overheating and ending the day with swampy feet. The double boa system makes for quick and easy transitions from walk to shred mode when I am touring. These boots are stiff enough to shred steep lines in confidence, but still comfortable on more casual days. I like the inserts I can add to the boot for when I need added stiffness for when I need more precision on technical lines. The only time I feel this boot lacking is when I am trying to carve down groomers with precision, it is not the most responsive boot I have ridden in and I wouldn't recommend it for all mountain riding, because this boot shines in the powder conditions.
