The UltraRange Exo WW MTE-1 Shoe is Vans' new warm-weather version of its mountain edition shoes. The water-resistant uppers offer protection for rainy weather, while the new MTE-1 ventilation package pairs recycled polyester mesh with Ortholite sockliners to keep our feet ventilated and dry. There's plenty of cushion and protection, too, with UltraCush midsoles keeping things soft underfoot and a lug pattern that's up to a variety of warm-weather terrain.

Honestly Amazing 10/10
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 7.0 Womens
I bought these based one some other reviews that I read. And I am really happy that I did. I bought these in a size 7.0 women's/5.5 men's. I normally order a 6.5 women's, but based other reviews I followed suit. They fit great. They do feel a little snug at first inside, other people described this as feeling "puffy" or too much "cushion" on/near the ball of the foot. The toe box is really wide, and the cushion does go down the more you wear them. This fits like a low profile sports shoe (cleats, track spikes, ect...) and personally I wouldn't want a hiking shoe were my foot is sloshing around a good bit while climbing or hiking. They are SUPER water proof. I submerged by entire foot in a mud puddle and my foot was completely dry after my hike. The lugs are big and have great traction. Zero blister, comfortable straight out of the box. I would recommend these as a great alternative to a hiking boot for warmer weather months. The laces could seem short for some people, but as the shoe packs out you can pull them more, or just replacement them with longer ones. The pull tabs on the tounge and heel are actually usable and helpful. This is my most worn pair of vans to date.
