Why We Like The ComfyCush Sk8-Hi Shoe

Vans took our favorite high-top shoe and injected it with marshmallow plushness, giving us the ComfyCush Sk8-Hi Shoe, our new favorite. The one-piece interior and increased shock-absorbing power keeps our feet from getting swampy and cranky while grinding rails or hunting out new features downtown to trick off of.

A tad small !

I’ve worn Vans for years - always the same size US 9 - the suede hi tops I recently bought are a tad on the small size….

These are my 3rd pair and for some reason hard to pull on at the start but broke in over time. Out side of that I love them!

I have sesamoiditis in my right foot. I usually have to add an extra insole to my shoes to be able to wear them without it flaring it up. These I don't have to. They are the most comfortable shoes that I've ever worn. Thank you Vans for making this shoe!! I'm so glad that I found these. If you have foot problems, try these shoes. I definitely recommend these!

I?m on my feet constantly at work (I?m lucky enough to be able to wear casual footwear) and the soles are definitely softer compared to the regular SK8 High which I also have. Due to the thickness of the sole it took a little longer to break-in compared to the regular SK8 High. The break in time is a little longer compared to the standard SK8 High; for me it was my small toe that had some soreness the first few wearings but once they did the fit is just right. I also have a wide foot so both the Comfycush and regular style are good for wide feet. With all this said I would probably go with the standard SK8 High for my next pair since they are also comfortable without the slightly longer break-in time. I?m nit-picking when I compare the two models in this review. Both are great shoes. As a note I am not a skater. I got these for comfort and to prove to my adult kids and colleagues that I am a cool old fart.

I really like the look of these shoes but thought the only difference between them and the classic sk8-hi was that they had a cushy insole but the whole sole is different, the sides are made of foam not rubber, the soles were cushy but not breathable. I ended up sending these back and getting the originals but had to get them from another seller since backcountry doesn?t have my size in stock. Backcountry rocks, not a huge fan of these shoes though.
