It's got a mysticism about it.

To say it—well—rather plainly, the Vans Men's Aura Boa Snowboard Boot knows that being a boot means being the single most important piece of equipment a rider owns. From turning, to boned-out grabs, to next-level rail tricks: everything starts at the feet. No matter where or how you like to ride, all-day comfort, ease-of-use, and clean looks never go out of style. Dual Boa reels allow you to independently adjust the tightness of three different zones within the boot, so you can easily dial in the perfect fit every time. Not to mention, a Custom Slide Glide allows you to adjust the fit along the instep for customized comfort and superior heel hold.

Its medium flex is bendy enough for tweaking tricks in the park, yet supportive enough for shredding scary lines, and full instep articulation allows forward flex without breaking down the shell. The Response thermal liner is heat-moldable for a custom fit, and has a fleece-lined cuff and flexible toe box for comfort. A mix of EVA and natural cork in the V2 footbed provides cushioning where you want it and support where you need it, which ultimately translates into shock absorption and preventing foot fatigue. The WaffleFlex outsole is made with EVA to reduce weight while improving cushioning, and strategically-placed rubber in the most high-wear areas ensures long-lasting durability and traction.

    • Classic, mid-flexing boa boot for all-mountain domination
    • Boa Focus closure system uses zonal lacing for secure comfort
    • Thermo-moldable liner conforms to the natural shape of your foot
    • Closure has customizable design for quick adjustments on the fly
    • EVA and cork in the footbed offer cushioning and support
    • WaffleFlex outsole offers low eight and high traction

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have ridden 4 days with these boots now. The material around the heel and toe has a serrated look revealing torn bits of the outer sole material peeling off the boot.

Vans claims to have a one-season warranty on their product, but when I contacted customer support they said this was "normal wear and tear." I love Vans and really expected a lot more from them.

Backcountry did offer a little better, offering to exchange for online credit, provided I pay for return shipping.

I would not recommend these boots because of the low quality of the materials.

Also, I found the break-in to be really hard on me. Sizing was about right, I wear a 9.5-10 in vans shoes, and ordered a size 10. But, they were really uncomfortable for the first 3 out of 4 days I was able to ride them, where I had to take breaks and take them off a few times to rest my feet.

    I'm pretty disappointed.

    Love love love

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So comfortable. Have ridden them over 20 days and just love them. Being able to tighten the inner boot in two different ways and then the outer boot two ways via the Boa is just terrific. (I can tighten or loosen the Boas through my pants on the lift, too). I replaced the footbed with a more custom one, but the stock one is fine for casual riding. Hope to use these for many years to come. Fit is great, zero hot spots.

Let me tell you about these boots...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are my all mountain, ride anywhere boot. Great medium flex really performs when doing short hikes into side country, charging down groomers, or getting playful in the park. I usually wear an 11 or 11.5 in shoes (depending on the brand), and have pretty wide and arched feet. I went with the 11.5, and they work great for me. They offer a lot of comfort, and support with the dual BOA's. They offer a lot of durability as well and take a while to really break in, but once they do, they are awesome. Really stay true to the all mountain, freestyle feel.

Mixed review - classic but sizing poor

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm really giving these a 3.5-5 but the sizing issue really is a burden for buyers to figure out. I should add that while I bought black w/ white stripe (which I love) - BC.com is now showing black stripe on black...same boot though I'd guess.

I'm a street shoe 10.5 - 11 and I had to do up a 12 w/ these - and they're still difficult to get on, and even harder to get off though comfy when I'm riding. I've ridden them only 7-10 times or so, still breaking in.

These boots look badass though, and that's great - people always asking about them. Classic look, no doubt.

I'm about to get upset though - without even putting my board on my back (right) foot while on the lift - it appears that the stitching along the main center /

    Nice Boots, Funky Sizing

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Nice boots with a ton of features, but sizing is way off. My last pair of boots were a size 9 (also Vans), and I ended up needing a 10.5 here.
