    Strata Snowboard Binding

Brand-spanking new to Union's fleet this year, the Strata Snowboard Binding represents the new standard for how a snowboard binding should function and perform thanks to its industry-first bushing system that's insanely light, strong, and maneuverable for everything from pipe, to park to powder. These bushings use Fused Vaporlite, a new material made through an injection-molding process very similar to the way plastic parts are created, to give you a far more waterproof, durable, and precise design than any other EVA material on the market today.

The Fused Vaporlite bushing system rides on the Stage 6 Duraflex ST baseplate platform, which is unbelievably light, strong, and responsive, and pairs with a 3D Extruded Aluminum heelcup that stiffens the entire chassis for a seamless edge-to-edge turn initiation. All of this means, essentially, that the Strata knows where you're going before you do. Then, Union redesigned the Forma ankle straps for a stronger, more responsive outside and a more comfortable, cushioned inside, while the multi-positional options and thermoplastic anti-slip material of the UltraGrip X toe strap keeps you locked in and on point. A medium-flexing Strata highback rounds things out with its tool-less forward lean adjustments to make on-the-fly adaptability as good as it gets.

    Great for everything

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The ideal amount of response to keep you in control on big lines, but soft enough to keep you going all day in the park. Perfect Binding for a rider who wants to get after everything on the mountain.

    Comfort and Control

I’m a size 10.5 and I ride a softer Lashed double boa boot. I weigh 185 I purchased the Medium. It’s pretty much a perfect fit, I wish the ankle strap was just a tad larger and more supportive at times. I dampness and shock absorption is the best part about this binding. Response and flex are great felt like a just all around perfect binding.

      Fit like a glove

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got these to go with my dad's Never Summer Prototype II board I got him for Christmas. Here is what he has to say: " 2nd pair of bindings (and board) in 25 years. Man, have things changed!! My older-than-my-daughter Burton bindings felt like I was being strapped into military equipment. These things feel like slip on Vans. Perfect amount of support and super lightweight. So easy to get in and out of, even for a geriatric like myself. "

Demoed once and I was sold.

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Talk about the best of both worlds with this binding...Awesome flexibility side to side, a nice stiff highback, perfect amount of dampening... The Forma ankle straps are super comfortable and lightweight.. And that bushing system... Ahhh man that bushing system!!! Total game changer. Excellent board feel and responsiveness but while still feeling cushy, comfortable and supportive. Perfect for all mountain and freestyle in my opinion. -Big mountain wise... Might go with the Atlas from Union instead. But after getting a chance to take these bad boys out... I had to have a pair.

      This binding does it all!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Union Strata Binding is a great option for park/pipe and powder too, it’s a great looking binding. This binding will provide you with superb dampening characteristics when you’re riding through rough conditions and provides incredible board feel. The strata highback is the perfect amount of flexibility for tweaking airs, yet is rigid enough to euro-carve like a champion when you want too. If you are looking for a binding for freestyle domination that will handle a foot of fresh also then the Union Strata Binding IS a great choice for your next pair of bindings.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Strata was a great addition to the Union line. With an extremely responsive front to back, the Strata still manages to have a great feel and flex. The new heel strap is great also. After having ankle issues, this is the most comfortable, responsive, and feely binding ive ever had!

      Fun, playful and responsive

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The Strata's are great! They maintain a great balance between being responsiveness and playful. the straps are extremely comfortable and apply a nice even pressure across the ankle and toes. Adjusting them on the fly is very easy since everything except the actually attachment to the board is toolless. I am riding them paired with the stiff Adidas Acerra ADV boots and it is one of my favorite all mountain setups i have had.
