    Doesn’t cover ears

If you don’t have the bottom all the up over your nose , it doesn’t cover your ears, even on my kids. The top designed weird that way. The bottom is what covers your ears, the the hat part. The other under-armor balaclava I have is my favorite but this type is too tight, and cut weird.

    Low Quality

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Facemask ripped on my second run of the day. Would recommend finding something different.

    Perfect

Perfect for active outdoor activities. Thin enough to wear under helmets and still be comfortable.

    Great Balaclava

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Comfortable, warm and thin enough for a helmet. I purchase two of these for a snowmobile ride to keep my face warm. Was hoping that I could wear my normal motocross helmet while wearing this hood. Well, the good news is that it was thin enough that I was able to wear my helmet. In addition, it kept my face warm while riding at speed. Also has the benefit of soaking up perspiration.

Best balaclava I've had so far

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

Thin but keeps my face warm enough and isn't a pain when wearing helmet. Much easier to adjust to cover face and stay in position since face covering half moves independently of the part that goes over your head. Can also just wear as a neck gaiter.

    Simple face mask

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

This is a good lightweight face mask. My go-to for most conditions. If it's a really cold day I'll need more protection. I like that you can wear this in a few different ways.

    Pretty Great

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Fit on this is just a hair on the small side - although I do have a big head. I usually wear a 7 3/4" hat. Warmth is exactly what I was looking for - probably not the best for those super cold days but it is great for protection from wind and taking off the bite from the cold. The slits from the top and the chin portion come a little too far back for my preference only because it leaves the portion around your temple exposed if its not aligned properly - would prefer if it sat that way naturally. Doesn't come very far down your neck which I like, but you you need a jacket that come high enough. Really like it, and use it from skiing to sitting still in the wind.

    Good Medium

This balaclava is a good medium between the super tight and the baggy fleece. It is breathable and can be adjusted to go over your mouth. This would be good for a chilly/windy day in the backcountry!

    Love It So Far

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

I love the adjustability of this balaclava, though when I pull the mask under my chin part of one of my ears ends up a little exposed. The neck of it spreads just a little bit to your shoulders so if you wear a crew neck shirt nothing is left uncovered. I have yet to use it when it's soggy, but it works fabulously when it's dry!

    Warm and Comfortable

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

I wore this snowboarding a couple of weeks ago in 10 degree weather, it kept my head so warm I had to take it off for a run. It is doing exactly what I had hoped for!

    Must have

My husband and I both have a mask that we wear skiing. It's a must have! The material dries quickly. It covers your whole head. You can pull the front over your face or easily down under your chin and it stays in place. This paired with a helmet and you will be toasty warm.

    Good protection in a storm

Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave this to my sister on a recent trip to borrow for the day, and she thanked me for saving her face during a storm. She stayed warm and dry under heavy wind and snow, and is taking this home with her.

    Warm and stretchy

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wish the face part was little tight but it does work well. I tend to wear this over my chin since covering my mouth makes my goggles fog up. Wish it was just a bit tighter but I can fix that by sewing the opening just a little more closed.

    SUPER WARM!

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have never owned a balaclava before and this one was recommended by a friend. Definitely a solid option I was snowboarding in frigid temperatures and my head was constantly warm. I would buy again.

I want this to be dual-purpose for skiing and riding my motorcycle. What I'd like to know is if your goggles get fogged up easily while wearing this balaclava. I'm more concerned about motorcycle use than skiing as a fogged up helmet visor can be dangerous on the road.
