Nova Insulated Coat
Winter can be a fussy time of year, so prepare yourself for the onslaught of unpredictability with the UBR Women's Nova Insulated Coat. Equal parts style and performance, this coat is crafted from a soft, stretchy 3-layer fabric that blocks wind and rain to keep you comfortable and dry through the toughest storms. A removable, luxurious satin lining is filled with PrimaLoft insulation for ultra-light warmth when temperatures plummet. The satin lined hood provides additional protection when the weather turns poor and can be removed on clear days.
In addition to its storm-ready construction, the Nova is designed with a tailored fit, for a streamlined look that stands out in the city. An adjustable and stylish waistband gathers the coat in for a feminine shape. Reflective elements increase visibility in low-light situations to help keep you safe. Whether you are walking the dogs on a drizzly fall day, or commuting to work in the dead of winter, the Nova Insulated Coat provides versatile protection you can rely on.

Nice enough parka
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- True to size
- Size Bought
- 5` 4"
- 150 lbs
I tried both this Nova parka and the Spectra parka and returned both. I live in Portland and the Spectra jacket was barely warm enough for me in December. The Nova is even less warm, there is a notable difference in warmth between the two. Fit: True to size. I bought both in size large for layering but medium would have fit like it does on the model on the UBR website; maybe they would have been warmer if they had been tighter. The Nova is a bit longer. Fabric: The Nova has a 'quieter' fabric. The Spectra rustles quite loudly. Quality: Yes, it's well made but so are a lot of other jackets of this type. Definitely not worth the price.

Uber Nova Coat is a keeper

This is a beautiful coat: well-made, many thoughtful details, and stylish, too. It's so light, and the fabric is great: a finer weave than the Spectra, with a soft hand and nicely stretchable. I wanted a coat that could go from dog walking to city exploring, in a wide range of temperatures, and this is it. Wore it on a dog ramble today when it was 16 degrees and gusting fiercely, with a capilene layer underneath, and it was warm enough for me. I'm 5-4 and it hits lower thigh; I'm a true size 12 and it's a bit snug in the shoulders but comfortable and I can move freely. The Spectra was actually too tight in the shoulder in a size L. This coat is light as a feather with the lining removed (it's light with the lining in, too--the lining is less than a quarter inch thick, and amazingly warm and unbulky), and kept me dry in a light rain. The seaming is very nice, the waist can be snugged with outside snaps, and hood is removable. There's a set in belt across the back, which adds a little style (look at the Uber site video for more views). Love it.
