Standard Bib Shorts
Minnesota-based Twin Six is known for its blend of classic and modern styling in its clothing designs, and the Standard Bib Shorts for women are no exception. They feature a race-cut, eight-panel design in a soft micro-denier blend to support leg muscles and move with you throughout your ride. On sweaty climbs and hot days, the micro-denier will diffuse moisture as you heat up, keeping you dry and comfortable as you pedal.
The mesh bibs on the shorts are lightweight and breathable, and wide, elastic leg grippers keep the shorts securely in place while an imported women's-specific Italian chamois takes care of long-term comfort. Foam strategically placed in variable densities adds support where you need it, while perforations across the chamois increases airflow to manage moisture and ward off chafing and irritation.

Chamois needs some work.
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- True to size
I bought the Twin Six Standard bib shorts because I like their look and they are affordable. However, I wore these once on a 3 hour ride and started chafing half way through the ride. I use chamois butter, but it didn't help in this case. Personally, I think the chamois needs to be more padded in areas and less padded in others. Great looking bibs, but uncomfortable for me.

I'm in love with these bibs. Last spring, I started a bit of a quest to find THE bibs that I would wear for an ITT of the Tour Divide. I tried many (many) bibs between tens of dollars to way way expensive. BOOM, these were the ones! The Standard line from T6 is a huge step up from the rest of the apparel line. The leg band on the bibs is incredibly comfortable and stays put, so your tan line remains sharp. The other bibs have that terrible elastic-bead-band-of-doom on the legs, versus the Standard's silky soft wide band. The rise on the bibs fit me well, as did the straps which always stayed put without being too taught on my shoulders. The chamois, I LOVE IT! Fit me so so well and allowed me to pedal for 10+ hour days as comfortably as anything else. For general training/racing wear, these will hold up splendidly. Mine bit the dust pretty hard after 29-straight days of wear, not helped by going rubber-side-up on the trail a few times. Even with the giant hole in the rear end, I wore them through the end of the Divide (and perhaps a few too many times after...).
