Set high standards.
As its name suggests, the Standard Bib Shorts make a willing companion for any cycling outing from group rides with friends to your next race. Twin Six pays close attention to the fit details when constructing these shorts, lending them enough versatility to justify reaching for it again and again.
Twin Six starts with eight panels of eight-ounce micro-denier nylon to create the main body of the shorts. In addition to being soft, the fabric is designed to absorb and disperse moisture across its surface, enhancing evaporation to keep you dry. Expect the shorts to have a contoured fit, with the fabric sitting flat against your skin as you move around in the saddle. This is achieved with the use of flatlock seaming throughout the shorts, a technique that lessens chafing and the likelihood of irritation during long days in the saddle.
The Standard shorts feature a seamless, perforated Italian chamois with plush, multi-density foam throughout. The variable topography of the foam provides comfort and support where you need it most, while perforations across the surface diffuse moisture to help reduce friction over the miles. As you pedal, Twin Six's Powerband hems keep the bottom leg hems securely in place so you don't find yourself breaking your cadence to tug at wandering hems in the middle of a climb.

- Q & A
excellent bibs for not a lot
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: large
- Height: 6'0"
- Weight: 196lbs
So I don't have the clams for a $400 dollar set of bibs, but hey why do I need them these bibs work great on the road and the gravel. Most of my rides in these have been the 1-4 hour range and they are great comfortable, not bulky feeling, and no chafing. On a marathon 7 hour ride they did just fine too. I like that they are U.S. made too. Fit is true to size. They are not the most compressive bibs I've ever had but the don't suffer from it and they don't ride up either.
Twin Six is best for me
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I've tried a number of different brand's bib shorts and Twin Six is by far the most comfortable for me, in regards to the chamois and the fit. A+++ will spend lots of money for max comfort again. Seriously though, it's worth every penny.
Are you currently shipping the older V1 short, or would this be the new V2 version?
