Clam Shell Wheel Case

Traveling with wheels that cost as much as your car can be a wee bit nerve wracking, but you can't very well leave them at home or pedal across the ocean to get to your next race. Before you watch your wheels disappear down the conveyor belt and you spend the next eight hours shivering and breaking out into nervous sweats, load them into the Tri All 3 Sports Clamsheel Wheel Case.

It's a seriously burly but surprisingly simple design. Inside the rock-solid polyethylene shell, three layers of high-density foam secure and pad your wheels through even the worst bagging handling. No internal straps and no metal parts—the pressure of the foam and the case keeps your wheels, and any other tools you'd like to pack, from sliding around and banging into each other. Three large hook-and-loop straps seal the shell up tightly, and the tow handle and caster wheels make it easy to pull the Clamshell through the airport when you're racing to make your connection.

Perfect wheel case

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Fits 29" MTB with tires mounted (some air let out) no problem. Bombproof! Airport folks were 0/2 getting it closed back up properly but it didn't matter. so much padding and velcro straps make it safe anyway

HI, I am looking to buy a case for my husbands Santa Cruz 26" MTB to ship to Australia. will this bike fit in the case? we are planning on shipping it with the rest of our stuff on a ship, rather than take it as oversized luggage. would you recommend this case for shipping or the thule hard case?

this case is for wheels only. bike will not fit.

Great Review

anyone used it with 29er wheels w/tires mounted? Need to remove Rotors?

It will fit 29er wheels but you will likely have to let some air out of the tires. Its always a good idea to remove rotors as they need to be very straight.

I am in the US military, stationed in Italy. Do you ship your bike travel cases to Italy?

We do ship to Italy, and I can't seem to come across any shipping restrictions on this brand so you should be fine. Now, keep in mind we ship free to APO addresses so if that's an option I strongly suggest it otherwise you will have to pay all international shipping charges.
