    Back to the ballnut.

Equip your climbing quiver with the versatile and affordable BallNutz Set by Trango. These sliding ball-and-ramp pieces lie between active and passive protections, and they fit in places that cams and stopper can't, like parallel cracks and thin fissures. With more placement options than a nut and a smaller price tag than any spring-loaded camming device, you simply can't go wrong with the BallNutz.

    Bomb Proof!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Ok, so when you first grab it and take a look you simply won't believe it will hold...
But they are a powerful team and I love those little folks.
Whenever I don't take them for a walk I regret it!
They are part of our life since 2014 =) and we are very happy.

    Great for thin cracks

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These came highly recommended by a friend. It took a while for me to climb in a place where I saw the use for them, but once I wanted to put in some pro with only thin cracks all around I realized why my friend had such high praise. These things are great!

BallNutz are great; they allow you to easily and cleanly protect thin, splitter, and horizontal fissures that would typically need to be nailed up with pitons. I picked a set up mostly to fluff up my clean aid rack, but these are definitely nice to place on very thin free routes too. They have been holding up well and are definitely easier to remove than a weighted micronut.

Stick them where no other piece will

I love these for granite climbs. They go places that no other piece will. And can give you peace of mind when you start getting runout on those "blank" faces.
