    Light and Tight

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 30

These pants are a light and fashionable option for people looking to buy American made products. All the buttons are snap style, which makes them easier then button fly's and the like. The fabric is really light weight and thin, which is great for summertime.

The fit is interesting, tight in the seat, waist, and thighs, and they flare out a little at the bottom, more of a boot-cut then a straight leg. The crotch is also a little higher then what you might expect in other brands. I have a skiers body (bigger thighs and butt) so these are a little on the tighter side in those areas. I tend to prefer higher end jeans like Hudson or Joe's and these are pretty comparable to what I expect from them.

If your really interested in these I would say order one size larger then what you normally get.I wear a 29 normally but the 30's in these are the best fit for me.

    Wish they had my size

Let me start by saying how much I love the products Topo puts out. Quality product all around, all the time. I love the brand and was stoked to try these pants.

I am 6'2", 195lbs and typically wear a size 33 or 34 pant. I went with the 34 in these and expected a bit slimmer fit, but the waist on these were just too tight with little to no give in the fabric. As others have pointed out, if you're a bit thicker build, size up! I immediately went to look for the 36, but as luck would have it they were sold out.

I also bought the "long"...and they are just that...long. Enough fabric for a tall guy like me to roll them a couple times and be comfortable. I probably wouldn't cuff these, so unless you're 6'4" or taller or like a cuff, then the regular length should be just fine.

They are also a lighter weight pant suited for spring/summer. I'll most likely buy a pair in a different color in the spring (in the next size up).

    Great pants for hipsters.

Don't get me wrong, this pants are nicely built and look good. They probably are semi durable and will last some time.
But my biggest problem is the sizing. These are meant for people with skinny-a$$ legs, not hikers or campers. I'm the thicker side of body built (I don't lift, but I am bulky) and I am an avid hiker and outdoors man, so my legs are a bit wider than most. But for the life of me I can NOT move well in these pants. The waist is true to size and the pant length can accommodate most people (I would have needed to trim them down). But my legs are being strangled and I could not move comfortably at all.

Again, nice pants if you have skinny legs. Just not if you built some kind of muscle on them and expend to go up any mountains on these. I still don't understand why Topo keeps claiming to be and "outdoor brand". Their stuff continues to disappoint me and be all just for looks.

Look at other brands before you decide to purchase these pants if you are buying outdoor clothing.
