I bought these in a hurry to a backpacking trip (I realize while driving I had left my boots at home ugh!) I was looking for some Altra LP but the store didn’t have them. The sales guy recommended these Topos and encouraged me to try them on. If I didn’t like them, the store at the corner sold Altra he said . But , Omg I was sold the minute I put them on. Right out of the box into the Eastern Sierra for a 3 day trek. I never looked back. I didn’t slip on wet rocks, my toes were comfy, I love the color and not everyone is wearing them. I love them!

Not Wide Enough...& Faulty Craftsmanship

Nice soles, foot shaped, but NOT what I consider a wide toe box. Maybe it was just the pair I received, but the minute I put one on, something inside the shoe rubbed the top of my foot terribly. I ran my finger inside the shoe, and sure enough there is a piece of material and plastic about 1/4" wide where the lace holes start near the bridge of the foot. It goes all the way across. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! I'm guessing this pair missed the quality control check. It's as if they just forgot to trim these excess pieces when the shoes were made. Other shoe is exactly the same. Very disappointed and would not recommend. I'll stick with my tried and true Altras.
