More narrow than they look

I was a loyal Altra guy, but their durability doesn't warrant their price point. I placed my hopes in Topo because reviewers report getting over 500 miles and cant get 300 out of altras (trail or street). The topo's feel well built and plenty of spring but they are too narrow for my feet. I have kind of wide feet, but not wide enough for a "wide shoe". To me, these felt like a foot shaped Nike and I was hoping for a foot shaped New Balance. Size is accurate. No need to size up like you do with Altra The search continues
