LOVE THESE. I like them better than my Altras. I tried them on the advice of my running coach. I have large, size 11 women’s feet that, despite their size, are low volume, and I have morton’s Neruoma’s in both of my feet currently. I need a wide toebox and also a fitted heel. I sometimes get away with wearing men’s shoes, but the heels are usually too loose. The topos totally deliver a fitted heel and wide toebox in a size 11 without being a men’s shoe with women’s colors. Initially, the heels felt overly padded, but they softened up on the first wear. They are slightly more supportive in the footbed than Altras, and have a little bit of a drop, which with my foot issues and with relearning how to run properly, is perfect. They’re not “walk through a creek” waterproof like old school heavy duty hiking boots, but I have taken them on several 6-10 mile hikes I in snow. My feet stayed dry. The outer surface of the shoe did appear soaked, but my socks and feet stayed dry. Fine by me. The tread has been great in dry dirt, mud, and snow, with no balling up of snow or mud. These shoes are also very lightweight. Can’t rave enough about them.

Really love this shoe
- Familiarity:
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

- Runs small
- Size Bought
- 7.5

unfortunately the 7.5 was too tight on my foot, which is kind of unusual. 7.5 usually fits me perfect. I love the shoe, it is lightweight and waterproof. So, I gave them to my daughter-in-law. She usually wears a 7 but they fit her perfect. She's loving them.

Roomy toe box gives added stability and builds strong feet and ankles. Cushion around Achilles keeps your heel firmly in place.

I love this shoe and highly recommend it. 4 Stars because I don't know how they will hold up, yet. The wide toe box is exceptionally comfy and gives added stability while building strong feet and ankles. It's the widest toes box I've ever worn. It's very waterproof and I think the breathability is good, but I do live in a dryer climate. So, I will test it up in Vancouver BC, in a few weeks and have a better grasp on that. I like the extra cushion on the heel. It hugs the Achilles and keeps your heel from slipping. Pretty sure this will prevent blistering, but it definitely is comfortable. The cushion is spot on, for trail running. It's not enough for the road, but it's also not meant for the road. The only issue for me is the sizing. I'm am normally a size 9.0 and got a 9.5 in this style. The 9.0 does fit me in other Topo Design styles, just not this one. And, my right foot is just a tad bigger, so the 9.5 isn't quite perfect for that foot. So, I do recommend going up at least 1/2 a size.
