    Vivid Mono Suit

Whether you're tearing up the mountain on your snowboard or your snowmobile, you're gonna want the Tobe Vivid Mono Suit in your corner. This rugged one-piece snowsuit features 45,000mm of waterproof protection from head to toe, keeping you dry no matter how deep the snow you're falling into gets, and every seam is fully sealed so there's no avenue for moisture to sneak in. Even the Aquaguard zippers are designed to keep water out. Integrated leg and wrist gaiters further bolster your snow defenses, and the leg gaiters include metal hooks for attaching to your boots. The durable Cordura construction is built to stand up to hard-charging mountain adventures, with reinforced seams that are double stitched for durability. Kevlar patches are placed at high wear places such as the knees, inner calf, and cuffs. Tobe equipped the suit with a kill switch D-ring, so you can attach a lanyard to your snowmobile's engine in case you and your rig part ways unexpectedly.

The Vivid isn't all techy performance features, either—it also boasts plenty of comfort for long days in the snow. The same membrane that's powerfully waterproof is also breathable, so you're not sweating up a storm when you're riding hard, and the suit features ventilation points at both the chest (so you can still unzip with a backpack on) and thighs, so you can dump heat quickly. Internal ergonomic shoulder braces offer a comfortable, adjustable fit, and interior drawcords at the waist let you further tweak for ideal comfort. And—of course—there are plenty of pockets for stashing snacks, maps, phone, music, ski pass, and more.

If you were thinking of getting this or not. Do it. This was such a fun piece to ride in! It was incredibly warm, kept the snow out of my boots in deep pow, and allowed enough maneuverability that I didn't once feel restricted by it!
And of course, made friends with everyone else on the slopes in onesies. Can't have too many riding friends!

Great shell for deep snow days

Love using this shell. Gives the freedom to layer however you want, so you aren't stuck inside a furnace on warmer days. Also has good ventilation system with four openings. It's nice how the shoulder/bib straps let the top section of the suit hang free. Great amount of pockets! Sleeve pockets, exterior pockets, internal pockets. It does run big.

If you're gonna ski in Japan, it's gonna snow, it's gonna be cold, and you're gonna need gear that comes correct. It snows A LOT in Hokkaido, like they say it snows a lot in Hokkaido, but it snows more than that. The Tobe Vivid Mono Suit comes correct, it is warm, it's tough, and it provides the protection you need in the worst (best) of conditions.

The Tobe Vivid Mono Suit fits big, I am 5' 10" and a small fit well it also consumes a lot of bag space, so if you're traveling, consider that. Although I discovered a nifty way to store it, it stuffs well into the leg (see pictured). It is heavy, so if you're doing a lot of hiking this may not be the one. I also didnt love how small the pockets were. All in all though, if you're going hard this suit will match your intensity.

TOBE outerwear has cutting edge waterproofing technology that is comparable to anything else made, in their outerwear! I never have to worry about staying warm and dry. From the chairlift, side country, backcountry and on my snow bike, this suit does it all without a hiccup. It is a must have for anyone that wants to never worry about snow going somewhere you don't want it. You are getting what you paid for with TOBE and won't have to think about another suit for many seasons.

    Totally Love IT

What a stellar suit! I had used this suit for the first of the season night boarding, which temperatures got down to -17C (0F) and this held it's warmth very well. I was wearing only a midweight baselayer and the suit did the rest, having warmth built up inside really does the trick. The first thing I had noticed on the suit is the durability on it, you can feel how the stitching and fabric was sewn together would with stand practically anything. Then of course having the Kevlar knees and calfs are a nice touch for those prone to wear places. I think my most favorite feature is the comfortable wrist gaiters with thumbholes as it was such a soft material and fit perfectly getting into some gloves yet won't have any problems with snow getting in; easy in and out of gloves without having to worry about stuffing your layers into your gloves. A heads up is be careful of your sizing, I had picked up a size small that fit just perfectly with a lot of room in the legs (17" torso/32" inseam). There is a harness system you are able to adjust enough. Such a great suit, feels like I should be a hero in it!

The most heavy duty suit on the market!

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: L

What a suit! This thing kicks ass in more ways that one. It's comfortable to wear, super sleek looking, and about as bombproof as an actual bomb suit. This definitely isn't your everyday suit, as the breathability and mobility are a little lack luster, but when the sky doesn't stop producing champagne pow this suit will keep you dry and riding all day long.

I'm the marketing manager at TOBE and I've been riding in the Vivid for the past 2 seasons. This is the most impressive piece of equipment I've ever used. I've worn it from October to May on snowboard and sled trips all over Colorado and in Utah, Montana, British Columbia, Sweden and Austria. It has performed above and beyond expectations everywhere I've went.

On work days, I'm sometimes standing or sitting in the same spot for an hour or more waiting for the right light for a shot and I'm never cold. The windproofing and waterproofing from the 45,000mm Sympatex Membrane is unbelievable; until you experience it yourself. Layering up or down for the day's conditions is as simple as decided whether or not to wear a mid layer. This suit is warm when you need it to be - most of the time, I ride with a lightweight merino wool top and long john. On the coldest days (-20F and below), I'll throw on a 400g merino wool mid layer and my 400g long johns.

Aside from the water- and windproofness, the most impressive feature is the breathability. The Sympatex Membrane offers dynamic breathability, meaning the breathability of the mono suit increases with your work rate. This is awesome when hiking/touring. If you're someone who runs warm, there's forward-facing vents on the chest and legs, as well as an expandable collar to exhaust heat.

Overall, the Vivid is an amazing piece of technical outerwear. There are so many features I didn't mention that make wearing this suit an experience unlike any other. You'll just need to try one for yourself to see what it's all about. You'll never go back to a two-piece, that's for sure!

I bought the vivid mono suit with high expectations and it's lived up to the hype. I have worn it skiing for the past 3 years in NW Montana. It provides a warm shell for the cold days while having the option of venting through both legs and under both arms when you venture out yonder or on a nice sunny spring day. After much use I have used some spray-on waterproofing spray to keep up with the abuse but for the price you can't beat the mono suit. I have and will continue to wear this beast all year through any weather conditions without second thought.

As an ambassador for this company for over 4 years as well as skiing and competing all over The US, and I can confidently say this is the best gear I’ve ever used. Nothing beats playing in the snow all day and staying 100% warm and dry. Overall build quality is above and beyond. This stuff is robust. 10/10 would recommend

    Absolutely LOVE the mono suit!!

My name is Carly Davis, and have the pleasure and honor of being apart of the TOBE Tribe for 6 years now.
In the past I struggled staying warm in the backcountry wearing pants and a jacket, but once I wore the mono suit, it was a total game changer. It is durable enough to withstand all the different outdoor activities I put it through, without being bulky. It allows me to move freely when I am snowmobiling, snowboarding, hiking back up the mountain, winter camping and more. I love the extra material around the knees just incase you catch a running board and the venting keeps you nice and cool when needed. When you get unexpectedly pitched into the snow, or your scuba diving through the deep pow, you dont have to worry about snow down the pants! It brings a new level of warmth and dryness to the things that we all love in the backcountry which allows you to stay out longer and have more enjoyable experiences. Ladies, having to go to the bathroom when your in the mono is easier than you think and more than worth it! I truly love my TOBE gear and all it provides. I encourage anyone to give the mono a try, and see how absolutely rad it is!

    Absolutely LOVE the mono suit!!

My name is Shannan Yates and I am the 2014 World Champion on the Freeride World Tour. Last season I was lucky enough to join the TOBE Tribe and I rocked my Vivid Mono suit the whole tour! This is one Bomber piece of equipment! It kept me warm and dry in Japan, Canada, Andorra, Austria and of course Utah. I was always comfortable wearing it during inspection, through crazy blizzard pow storms and during my wait to start on the top of mountian! Also if I happen to "eat sh*t" I never have to clean snow from my pants/jacket, I stay dry always! Layering in this thing is a piece of cake. I also love how rad I feel in it and how often I get comments on how awesome the suit looks. Being female I have to admit I was a bit worried about going to the loo, but it never was an issue.

I have been wearing this gear for the past five years, and I would not wear anything else. If you want top-of-the-line quality,, that keeps you warm and dry all season, with color choices that won't have you looking like all of your friends, then this is the gear for you !

    Best Quality out there!

This thing is insane. I was skeptical about them at first glance but when I threw it on and went out, I realized I wouldn't be wearing anything else afterward. It guarantees warmth and protection. Falling in powder- no more snow up your jacket and in your pants haha. You and I both know how clutch that is when your in the backcountry. I've been through rain and high winds with it on and was warm with only gym shorts and a hoodie on underneath. I also love it when your sitting down in the snow, your butt stays warm and dry. I've done a lot of resort and backcountry with this thing and its proven its worth. I highly recommend. I bought a large for some bagginess.
