Bring the kitchen sink on your next ride.
The rough-and-tumble world of bike commuting is liable to take a toll on your gear, so Timbuk2 designed the Especial Tres Backpack with rugged fabric and extra-tough stitching to stand up to life on the road. A roll-top closure, TPU front flap, and fully seam-taped internal liner keep all your gear dry if you get caught in a shower, and an expandable front compartment easily holds a helmet when you're out of the saddle.
A relative giant with 40L of storage capacity, the Especial Tres is perfect for riders loading up for longer hauls. External compression straps lock down your load and shrink the bag so it's not a wind-catching tent when it's empty, and the flexible back panel and shoulder straps come with mesh vents to keep your back sweat from building up. A laptop sleeve keeps your 15in computer safe, and dual water bottle pockets double as stash spots for U-locks.

Best Bag Ever
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Got this bag because I usually bike with a small backpack for computer/work items and a duffel bag for gym stuff. I wanted a backpack that could hold everything, waterproof, and have separate areas to organize your gear. This bag was perfect. Built to last.
Bomb proof construction. Bag is huge.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The bag is very big. You could get a weeks worth of stuff in there. It is very tough. Pretty sure I could get hit by a bus and the bag could get dragged and run over and would still look new. That said the bag is not very comfortable for me. It rugs against my neck/shoulders and sits pretty high. The venting is ok not great. You will have a wet back if riding hard. Hard to rate. Construction is 5 stars actually using it 2-3.
