Not Waterproof in the Least
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These have been my winter hiking boots for 2 years now. I don't think I can ever say that they've been waterproof. And I'm not just talking about sweaty feet. I've had plenty of snow melt and cold rain soak through these. They're warm-ish, until they're wet. Then they get incredibly cold.
I was going to have them resoled this year, but it's just not worth it. I'm gonna get a worthwhile pair of mountaineering boots. If you're doing anything besides just walking around town in these, you should do the same.
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got these shoes for my dad for the cold weather days in Utah! More specifically the cold weather days in Utah while he is at the sporting clays range (shooting sport for those of you who don't know). When it comes to getting cold, more often than not it starts with cold feet. My dad struggles with finding shoes that will keep his feet warm in the freezing winter days that will also keep his feet comfortable whilst standing for hours at a time. Well these shoes happened to fix both of those issues! He loves them! It's not often that he loves a pair of shoes right out of the box but he instantly fell for these shoes! The padded tongue gives comfort and doesn't pinch your ankle like other shoes can. He loves the sticky sole of the shoe and how it works with your movement and isn't stiff! The traction is awesome and he doesn't ever worry about slipping on that pesky ice we have all fallen victim to. They were comfortable from the very start and didn't feel like they had to be broken in (which everyone dreads doing). He uses a mid-weight sock for these shoes and feels that is a good fit for him but he could go heavier if he wanted. He usually wears a size 9 but when he actually went to a store to try on timberland shoes he needed a 9.5 and they worked perfectly. So definitely go a half size up!
All around great boot!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times

These boots are great. As someone who always gets cold toes, these boots have kept my feet warm and dry. They do great in snow, and have awesome traction so you do not have to worry about slipping on ice or snow covered terrain. They are also not too heavy and are perfect for walking, hiking, snowshoeing. All around great boot!
They do run about a half size too large.
