Awesome product!
We have used the Thule Compass many times and we love it. The only issue is that it does take a while to load and secure boats. Not a huge deal and should get better with practice.

Could work in theory
If your car/SUV is high, as ours is, coupled with the wide beam of our kayaks, then the height of our kayak reached 10 feet (3 meters). We found this unmanageable so returned item (very easy through Thule). This could work for a lower roofed car and a less beamy kayak.

The Thule Compass is the best dual kayak mount we've owned! It was worth every penny! Our kayaks are extremely secure during transport. It's a very durable products and matches perfectly with our Thule Xsporter Pro Low truck rack. The straps are also durable and when used properly secure our kayaks like nobody's business! We couldn't be happier. Now if someone just made a truck bed cover to fit with the Xsporter Pro Low truck rack, I'd be 100% in business!

Thule products always impress.
Bought the EVO crossbars and double kayak carrier for our smaller travel car. We are empty nester so prefer not to be driving our SUV when not required. Have a number of other Thule products, ski box and bike carrier. They are built right and last. Wonderful to buy quality products that buck the ‘planned obsolescence’ trend.

Solid rack, faulty wing knobs
I’ve had this rack for about a year and have used it on numerous occasions hauling 1-2 10ft kayaks. Only issue is that both plastic wing nuts/knobs have popped off. One within a month of purchasing and the other after 7months of use. We now bring a wrench with us to tighten and loosen. Apart from that, it's been a great kayak rack.

Great quality
I bought this about a month ago. I have been using it to haul around two kayaks. It is a solidly build system that gives me absolutely no worries about whether it will work. It’s an example of you get what you pay for - in this case - great quality and a great product.

Great rack.. but not so good hardware
Great design for 2 kayaks but not so durable. The wing knob broke after 1 month of use.

Easy to install and use
Love the product, but only after 1 month the foam on the center bar has started to tear. I hope it can be replaced or fixed. Other than that, it is easy to use and very sturdy holding two 12ft kayaks.
