    Jones MTB Snowboard Boot

Whether you're mountaineering or splitboarding to deep pow slashes, the ThirtyTwo Jones MTB Snowboard Boot has design features such as a waterproof-stretch lace gaiter and Walk Mode collar with Boa cuff release to push the boundaries of what's possible in the mountains. Constructed from the bottom up for the needs of touring, the Walk Mode collar has a Boa cuff release, which allows for longer strides when you're skinning to save your knees from the stress found in traditional boots. The waterproof-stretch lace gaiter prevents laces from freezing solid when you're out in the backcountry all day or even camping to get the goods.

The aggressively lugged Vibram sole, complete with a heel welt for use with both strap and clip crampons, delivers confident traction in no-fall zones, while the Recoil Flex control acts as an adaptable insert for controlling just how stiff you'd like this boot to be. ThirtyTwo's Elite liner uses a combination of energy foam and traditional Intuition foam for a boot that's less likely to pack out after 100-days or more of riding. As you'd expect, the Elite liner is heat-moldable, with the Intuition foam providing a custom fit to the unique contours of your feet. Plus, the liner's equipped with a reinforced harness that's more supportive for locked-down heel hold.

    The BEST boot!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these boots, last year, after hours of research. I was looking for a boot that would not let me down on a splitboard trip to Iceland. I wanted something that I could go into walk mode for the uphill but then have an aggressive ride for the down. On the trip, everyday we would walk on beaches filled with rocks and kelp, with slippery grass to reach where we would start our skinning. I was so thankful every time I had these boots. I never slipped thanks to the vibram soles nor did my feet get wet in the dingy on the way to the beaches or crossing through small streams. Touring in walk mode is really a game changer for me! My hips are so happy to get just a little more range of motion with each stride. I felt solid, on the boot pack up the couloirs and many times thought, my old boots would have never held up to the activity and the obstacles that we encountered throughout that week. My friend on the trip agreed and she wears hard boots and has been splitboarding for years. And the ride down, they are so comfortable and responsive! I did have them custom fit before I used them and put in a few days at the resort to get them dialed in before touring in them. My best friend bought the same pair and she raves about them just as much as I do. She has done most of her touring in the PNW. So ladies, if you are looking the holy grail of splitboarding boots, you found them!

    The BEST boot!
