    Regular old laces are 86'd.

Put yourself on the fast track to freestyle fun with the ThirtyTwo Men's 86 FT Snowboard Boot. Its softer flex allows you to bone out grabs and get loose on jibs, but it's still supportive enough for boosting jumps and venturing into the trees. The Fast Track lacing system makes it quick and easy to get in and out of your boots, and it won't slip, so you never have to stop and adjust the tightness mid-run.

The 86 FT also features an internal lacing system that keeps your heel locked down for better response and reduced fatigue. An articulating cuff prevents the shell from breaking down over the course of the season, and the performance backstay channels energy for enhanced response. The Level 1 Intuition liner is heat-moldable for a custom fit, and a molded EVA footbed cushions your feet for all-day comfort. Plus, the footbed features a Sherpa fleece lining for a soft, cozy feel. Finally, an aggressive tread on the durable rubber sole helps you maintain traction on icy steps and sketchy hikes.

Laces began tearing apart after 1 season

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm not sure if i was tightening the boots too hard but the laces started falling apart after my first season with these boots. The laces appear to be slowly wearing away like how the ropes of a bridge fall apart in cartoons. It is now a thin line at the center point at which there is most pressure when tightening these laces. I couldve just been pulling at an awkward angle but I think it is worth noting.

Used it for 1 season about a total 20 somethin days at mammoth, bear, and mt high

    32 86FT snowboard boots

I don’t usually do harsh reviews. I was just highly disappointed in these boots. They are a little older but are very stylish and wide set boots. My feet slid around in them and my heel moved a lot. I’d recommend getting any 86FT boots tried on before buying.

      Best boot I've owned

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm on my 4th season with these boots and I still rant and rave about them. I'm very impressed with how long the FT system has held up because I thought they'd last as long as boas (not long). The exterior is very durable. Just now has my right boot on the toe started to peel a little from holding my bindings on the lift. And even after a hard day of non-stop shredding my feet don't hurt one bit.
No matter the style of riding you have, these boots will back you up 110%.
BY FAR best bang for your buck.
