So versatile!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size

I LOVE this pad. It's so lightweight that I literally carry it with me all the time. I can't tell you how many times I've used it outside of the backpacking world! Wet patio furniture? Throw down the pad. Sitting on the driveway finishing a project? Throw down the pad. Waiting 4 hours for the DMV? Throw down the pad. Forced to sit on the floor because there aren't any socially distanced options available? Throw down the pad. It's the best! Oh... You can also use this under your Z Lite Sol sleep pad if you need extra lumbar support (which I do). Or even as slight elevation for your head! So great!

Great pad

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Had originally just cut my old foam pad but for $15 I said hell it packs down smaller and was lighter. Will be taking it on the entirety of the PCT and will update my thoughts on it after that.

A must have !

I ordered one for my backpack trip and one night it was raining so hard , friends of mine had to stand up because everything was so wet. I used this Zseat on the wet log to sit on and sure it kept my bottom dry at the whole time.. Very comfortable to sit on and It is very useful, can put on wet ground , rocks or anything and it will keep my bottom dry at the whole time..i loved it so much so I decided to order 2 more for my wife and my toddler son it's 16 inches wide and 13 inches tall Easily to fit in backpack!

Love It!

I started keeping this in my ski bag and crag pack. It's super awesome for changing in and out of shoes. Really light. It seems ridiculous until you start using it. I used to use just a cheapo cut out of walmart foam sleeping pad but that started leaving little bits of plastic flake microtrash everywhere.

Not worth the price

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I thought this would be useful for backcountry ski trips to sit on while snacking and to kneel on while assessing snow in snow pits. It's not very big and it is definitely not worth the money.

Warm buns!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought this because it has a shiny metallic side, and I figured it would be a good substitute for a (car) seat heater-- and it is! In the winter, I leave it on my seat in the car with the shiny side up, and even if it is very cold outside, it insulates and reflects body heat back, so it is comfortable right away when you sit on it.

Shhh. Just buy it.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I thought these were ridiculous. "Unnecessary", I said. So wrong. The comfort provided by this little 2 oz gem at every rest stop or camp is a total revelation -- Fatigue and sitting on hard ground are no strangers. Better yet, when I sleep with an old school 3/4 inflatable pad (typically on top of a Z-pad), this fits under my gratefully toasty feet (the coating works). It's so simple and cheap, it's like... cheating!

Awesome review, Patrick! I think I'm sold...

Portable Comfort

Sitting on the ground is for the birds. This has made my long sits behind binoculars far more comfortable. Worth every penny.

Z seat

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These are awesome and so light weight! I was very surprised how comfortable it is. Pull a log or roll a rock over to the fire and place the z seat on top, perfect!

Just Right

I bought a thinner sit pad to use in camp and on breaks while hiking. I felt it was just too thin. The Therma-Rest pad was just right. Comfortable in the Leanto and on that wet log.
