THUMBS DOWN on temperature rating

I've used it several times

I bought this bag while it was on sale last summer due to how light weight it was, the reviews, and everything that went with it. My first night sleeping in the bag during September the nighttime temp was in the mid 30's and I froze. This is wearing thermals and a sweatshirt to bed. The next night the temps were somewhere around 40 and I was comfortable so I shook off my experience the first night to being worn down. Fast forward to January and again I wore my thermals and sweatshirt to bed. It got down to 30 degrees and after shivering for hours I finally had to steal a buddy's bag that he had brought for an extra and double up. A mid 30's night made me double up again as well as wearing all the clothing I brought. If you are going to be spending any time sleeping in temps around freezing, I would strongly suggest another bag. There doesn't appear to be adequate down in the portion of the bag that touches the ground. It feels as though you're sleeping on a cooling pad all night.

Did you not have a sleeping pad underneath?

Comfy Bag

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Feedback from a friend: "The sleeping bag was very comfortable. It was light weight, warm and very comfortable to sleep in. I give it five starts because it completely met or exceeded all of my expectations I had for it. " I'll also add that the sleeping pad connection system takes up almost no space and worked with a sleeping pad from a different brand. It's also really easy to remove if you don't want it as an option.

Excellent and Light

I've used it several times

Definitely a quality bag. Very warm and the down is very compressible. The included storage sack is nice since it can be used as two different sizes. My only gripe is that the material is somewhat fragile. I ripped the inside of the bag on the zipper twice without trying too hard, although some tenacious tape fixed it up pretty quick. All in all, a decent bag.

I've used it several times

"Whoa!" means I was super surprised to get so much out of the bag at such a great price. I had a few doubts and a few drawbacks, but was super surprised at the performance of this bag. It's way way roomy. I was hesitant to like the roominess of it due to past experiences of moving around a bag and hitting cold spots. Not with this bag. I could heat up the entire bag and the whole bag was warm. The shinch around my face was super fast and easy and I appreciated that and also appreciated not having a velcro closure, but rather a snap top, to secure the bag (that is annoying around your face). If you have a pad other than a thermarest, no worries, just make sure it's around the 20" width and you'll be good. Also, like I mentioned with doubts, I had doubts about using it, but super thankful I did as it worked like a charm as I roll around when I sleep. Also, I didn't find a pro or con with the foot space. I like the idea of an extra layer of down to tuck my feet into the bottom. I guess I didn't need it for the 30/35 degree weekend I first used it, but someone might appreciate that. Lastly, my one draw back is that the zipper doesn't stay very well. Unless you zip it entirely, it will simply open and unzip. For the space, pad security and SUPER lightweight feature, snag this bag! I went ahead and stuffed this in an 11L compression stack. So if you want to make this bag smaller in your pack, pick up an 11L (for regular fit).

Like sleeping on clouds!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've just used this twice but I have had some of the best sleep in this bag. I slept in the low 40's and no discomfort at all. I usually burn hot as well and that says a lot about the bag. I am 5'7" and I used the long size and had no issues. I would like to take this bag out and test the 20F rating. Packs away super small. So getting a dry sack or a compression sack would be ideal if you get this for backpacking. Definitely recommend this bag, good bang for buck.

Do you know if the synergy straps will fit a 25” pad?

John, yes it would. If you need help setting up that order, I'd be more than happy to help out.

I used this sleeping bag on a trip to the desert. I always run cold but this sleeping bag kept me warm the entire trip. The size is great and it's extremely comfortable!

Perfect Size and Comfort

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Great initial impression of this bag. I run warm when I sleep so this will be great for me even with cold nights. Love the foot sleeve option inside the bag to help keep the toes warm as well as the dual zipper to let air flow in at the bottom of the bag. Sleeping pad straps on the bag are great for making sure I don't roll off my pad in the middle of the night.

Good first impression

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I demoed this on a trip in the desert. It got a little chilly, but I haven't tested this to the max temp. But, it was really warm during the chilly desert night. It packs up small and easily. The straps on the back secure it to your sleeping bag. This is a very awesome feature. I would not hesitate to recommend this bag for summer backpacking.

Roomy and lightweight

I've used it several times

I've used this bag backpacking, car camping and on a winter hut trip. I love that it's super roomy (I can put my legs in a 4 shape), but still lightweight enough to take backpacking. It's also very cozy with a silky lining and fluffy draft tubes and neck collar. Full disclosure: I am an employee of Therm-a-Rest

Is this bag still holding up? i can find no long term reviews.. thx
