    Pack it up.

When you're meticulously packing for your hike to the top of Lone Peak to get a weekend of climbing in, pack your Therm-a-rest Parsec 20 Degree Down Sleeping Back for the trek and stay. With the Parsec's slim design and ultralight weight, this is the perfect sleeping back to pack when you already have to haul a rack, water, food, and your other climbing gear up the 12-mile trail. Constructed with ripstop polyester and hydrophobic down, this sleeping bag will keep you warm on chillier fall nights and early spring evenings and dries quickly in case you spill a beer or collect dew on the Parsec over the night. The large footbox has an extra pocket of down to keep your toes extra warm on cold nights under the stars so by the time morning comes, you'll be well rested and toasty, ready to get on the granite walls.

    • A sleek and small 20-degree down sleeping bag for going above and beyond
    • Hydrophobic down dries quickly and fends off dew
    • Durable polyester outer resists wear and tear
    • Packs down small for easy carry on big trips
    • Lightweight so you forget it's there on the hike in
    • Item #CAS00DM

    Fall In The Desert

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just took this bag down to LIttle Grand Canyon in Central Utah for the weekend. Temps were in the mid-40s at night and this bag was perfect! I do sleep colder but I was a very comfortable temperature all night, note that I did have on long pants and a down jacket on while I was sleeping. One thing I didnt love was that the fabric felt a little catchy and was sticking to my hands.

    Just Right

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

You know when a company just gets it right. You can just tell, this product had some thought put into it. This is one of those special occasions. This bag has the right weight at right above 1 pound but also coming in at 20 degrees. Solid construction, DWR treated down, heat reflective lining. It also packs down small. I love the 800-fill DWR treated down, it is even treated with Nikwax! Zone construction saves some weight but adds down where you need it, like less on the bottom of the bag, and more in the toe box. It is almost like a built -in emergency blanket with the reflective lining. The sleeve on the bottom helps you not roll off your sleeping pad. Another nice feature is the insulated draft tube that covers the zipper area. All of these extra touches make this bag feel comfortable and, in my opinion, perform better than the competition.

    Winner in Weight and Warmth!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've checked this thing out from our "Gear Closet" here at Backcountry 4 times now, it's about time I just pick up my own! The Parsec is very light and packable for how warm it is. 20 degrees is about the perfect do-it-all bag for high alpine stuff here in Utah, but still holds it's own for off-season desert camping. Although it's not really part of the functionality, I really dig the look of the face fabric, props to the designers on taking that into account.

I'd recommend this for anyone looking for a versatile sleeping bag to handle everything you throw at it (other than alpine winter camping).

    High Quality Product!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love this bag. I did not want to sacrifice warmth while having to pack minimal for a trip to BC recently. This bag exceeded my expectations! While being light and highly compressible, it remains true to its temperature rating. The temps I was in did not get as cold as expected and I ended up using it as a quilt. I did use it while zipped up for a short while and it was quite roomy!

    I highly recommend this bag!
