I selected this pad to be combined with a Big Agnes Anvil Horn 15 degree bag. This sleep system performed flawlessly on a week-long trip to the Frank Church Wilderness in Idaho in mid-Sept. Temps down to the low 30's but above freezing. I wanted a full size sleeping pad with high R-value and relatively light for the R-value provided. The Big Agnes bag does not have insulation on the bottom side of the bag. It has an elastic sleeve to contain a sleeping pad. Hence the need for high R-value from the pad. This pad fit the sleeve and stayed in place throughout the night. I am a three position sleeper, starting on my back and changing to each side and back throughout the night. This pad worked in both side sleeping and on my back. It took 36 full breaths to fill the bag and I used it filled. It also came with a pump bag that works well. The mylar that contributes to the R-value was a little noisy when moving, but it wasn't a big problem for me. The valve works very well for filling the pad and dumping air in the morning when breaking camp. Highly recommend.

Thermarest

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Looked good, but a slow leak developed during the first outing. Valve design is pretty cool. Light-weight material proved very 'noisy, at least ' while it still had air.
