- Q & A
not for me
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
if you like air pads you will like this. it is one of the lightest out there, and it is pretty comfortable. i camped in 20 degree weather and it did a great job of keeping me warm. though i quickly discovered i had a hard time keeping myself on the pad. i move around quite a bit in my sleep. it was also super crinkly, but i heard that goes away over time. blowing it up every night was also a chore. switched it out after a week of use for a zlite foam pad which is much better for me personally.
Comfortable and light weight!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
If you are trying to save pack weight, this is a great option. I didn't notice the crinkling "issue" that folks have mentioned, and I slept well on the pad both face up and on my side. I'm 5'11 and placed my backpack under my feet to cover the shortage in pad length and it worked like a charm.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This is a great pad for alpine climbing and or lightweight backpacking. It is actually surprisingly more durable than I expected it to be and mine has lasted well over 100 nights without a tear or lack of ability to hold air. Just don't be a dummy and treat it well and you should have no problem... and if something is to happen they have a great warranty program and will either fix it for free or do a really good job repairing it for you at little cost.
1: Why the womens version has a different R rating from Mens
2: What is the max height of the lady who can still comfortably sleep on that pad?
Is this pad (women's version) the new 2015 version?
Can anyone answer this?
2015 version it is!
