    Goodbye pads

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I always used light Thermarest pads of various R values to save weight and space. I am now 50+ and do less backpacking and more car camping these days, but I wish I had used this 20 years ago. Well worth the weight on a weeklong trip. Way better than ANY pad. Sets up and take down easily. Material is a little noisy only if you move around a lot. 5'7", 150 lbs and I use 5 single poles for a "stiff" feel. Can be set up as 6 double poles for those over 275 lbs I guess?? Stuffed into its carry bag is way smaller than any rolled up pad. Going into my third season and still love it. No durability issues.

    Easy To Assemble

Very easy to set up and put away. I haven't slept on it yet, but it seemed comfortable. I wish they made a wide width standard length version because the 77 inch length version touches both ends of my tent.

    No longer grounded

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

I decided to finally throw down and purchase this cot after several seasons of winter camping of sleeping on the ground. It makes a huge difference and would never go back to not using this cot for my ice climbing trips to Cody.!

Lightweight & Easy to Set Up

I was impressed by this cot even though I decided to go with the Luxurylite version. This was super easy to set up. Really lightweight. It was extremely supportive. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a little noisier because of the material. I also plan to use it daily as a bed so decided to go with the slightly bigger option and carry less poles when needing to pack light

    Comfort Plus

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

I slept like a baby on my first night's use of this cot. I am a side sleeper, but it's also engineered for any sleep position. I consider this a piece of luxury whilst trekking.

    Details from Therm-a-rest

Details from the Therm-a-rest team on this year's UL Cot.

Hi Audrey! That is a great demo of setting up the UltraLite Cot... way better than the many that have been done over the past ten years, including the very first video I did in 2009 for my LuxuryLite Cot shorty after I invented it. Thermarest has done a great job delivering improvements and new features for the UltraLite Cot. It is good to read the reviews from baby boomers that can now sleep good again when camping.
