Warm enough

Took it down to -5C and felt comfortable with a light merino wool long sleeve on, although I am a warm sleeper

Excellent

I’ve used the Corus in Scotland England and wales hills in autumn and spring in temperatures just below zero paired with the neo air x as well as the Uber light, and more recently with a z fold Matt as well. This system works so well and is so lightweight and packable that I will never go back to my 3 season bag unless in high mountain winter conditions

Pocket too small

Hi. I own one Parsec and one Corus. Both are fine. Just one problem with Corus. The front pocket is too small for a phone. Surprisingly front pocket on Parsec is ok. It's very hard to understand why. I was really upset when I found it out.

Over all very good.

I have used this quilt for 3 backcountry trips lasting 7 nights each time. The pro’s are its very packable, ultralight, cozy, con’s are the insulation has clumped with big spaces, when using the quilt I find I need to wear my puffy jacket to block drafts on windy nights. For this reason, I am now going to buy a new product. I would not recommend this quilt for fall. For reference. I store my quilt in the larger storage bag, its never been soaked, I’m 5’2 and 130 pounds, I can not sleep on my side and have my back covered while being tucked in the other side. If this quilt was available in a rectangle version I would still consider buying that to replace this one.

only one design flaw

Overall good product, only downside is the fact that the down compartments are very big and the down tends to clump up in one place. It leaves spots where there is absolutely no insulation and thats a design flaw. Its either the compartments are too big or there is not enough down for the size of the compartments. Maybe some kind of separators dividing the big compartments in smaller sections would help keep the down distributed evenly.

Great change from a bag

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Since I purchased this I have thrown my sleeping bag in the closet and never giving it a second glance! It?s so much lighter and more convenient than any bag I?ve tried to date. I run fairly warm so don?t need a great deal of insulation when I sleep, especially if I am sleeping in my base layers. This complements me perfectly along with my Klymit Static V2 and I have used it in temperatures in the low 30s with no base layers on and was comfortable. This has been my go to sleep system for the last 3 years and over 100 nights in the mountains. If you are the type of person that needs to stay extremely warm when you sleep or runs cold this may not be the system for you, but it is absolutely perfect for me and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get rid of their bulky sleeping bag to make more room in their pack. It is also worth mentioning that given the nature of the Hydrophobic Down it is important that you use the separate storage sacks and travel sacks to avoid long-term compression. Finally when you unpack it take a moment to fluff the down to restore the R-value, relatively easy but if neglected can drastically wear down the lifespan of the top quilt or result in an uneven heat distribution. All in all a five-star product when used properly with a good inflatable pad and pillow.

Hit and miss quilt maybe not built for 3 seasons

Before I begin, I would like to preface that I am an avid lover of both Thermarest products, and the Cascade Designs family in general. To date the majority of my essential backpacking equipment comes from Cascade Designs and I will continue to use their products for the foreseeable future. That said, this piece may not be the best fit for my needs. Originally I purchased this quilt as an entry level quilt to save weight while thru hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. I had never used a quilt but was desperate to shave weight and as my sleeping bag was well overdue for a replacement this seemed like the best option. Since then I have used this quilt for roughly sixty days including for daily use at home, on backpacking trips in the Smokies and Shenandoah, and on a shoulder season overnight. The temperature did not drop below 32 in any of these situations, yet I am left with mixed feelings. Structurally I love everything about this quilt, the fabric is comfortable, down did very well in multiple wet scenarios, and it's cut generously enough that a figure 4 sleeper like myself is covered when sleeping under it at home. That said, this quilt is insufficiently warm for its claims. Specifically, I tested this quilt in three different backpacking scenarios while I tried to dial in my sleep system for the Pacific Crest Trail. The first trip the temperature hovered at thirty two degrees. As I understand the 32 is the lower threshold I paired the quilt with a neoair X lite pad, a closed cell foam pad, and a thermarest liner along with full long underwear. Unfortunately, I woke up several times that night with cold spots throughout the quilt. One the subsequent trips I replaced the liner with a sea to summit model purported to add 25 degrees to a bag rating, with all other factors constant, but cold spots remained. I love this product but will limit it to home use or as an overbag.

Really compact and quite comfortable

Used it for two nights so far and really like it. It's compact enough to stuff it into the small stuff sack pillow together with a XTherm mattress (both large size) while being more comfortable than a classic sleeping bag. Thermal rating seems to fit for me, but I generally don't need it very warm.
