    I like it!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: s
    • Height: 5'2"
    • Weight: 115lbs

I really like this jacket. I think it's the equivalent of the wingate Basin and Range coat but without some of the issues w/ the wingate. The zipper doesn't sit on your face and the fit is better. I dont think it's that boxy and even if it is I dont care cause im wearing it for warmth. The hood on here is the perfect size unlike the Wingate and I think it looks nice to wear out and about.
It seems a little snug under the arms if I have a thick fleece on under it but it's not to the point of discomfort so I plan on keeping it. Just a tiny bit snug.

    Love this coat

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 105lbs

This coat is well worth the money in my opinion. It holds up against the weather and has a great style/fit. I will say that the recommended sizing from The North Face site recommended that I get an xsmall. I was nervous to get that and ordered the small- the shoulders on this definitely run small. The small fits nicely but any tighter would be too snug. I usually wear an xsmall or small in shirts so would recommend ordering the larger of sizes you typically wear.

Was hoping for more style, better fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: medium and large
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 140lbs

While I love the idea of this coat; stylish, waterproof and warm, the fit is off. I ordered the medium and it had the look I wanted, but it was just too tight in the shoulders and chest if I had anything more than a t-shirt on so I exchanged it for a large. It provided more room in the chest, but now the arms are too long and the overall look is super boxy and unbecoming. I am afraid that this one is going to have to go back too since it's too pricey to keep if it's not the "perfect" coat I was hoping for! I will continue my search...

    Boxy fit

I returned this because it doesn't have any curve to it. North Face is on the money with warmth, and this jacket was very warm. The more I looked in the mirror, the more I couldn't overlook it's lack of structure. I'm 5'2" 125 lbs and ordered a small. I ended up with a Marmot brand coat instead.

      Nice parka, not really green

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Height: 5'0"

I ordered this because I loved the green color. When I looked at it in person it looked black. The only way I could tell it was the right color (green) was when I put a black garment right next to it. It is much, much darker than shown in the product photo.

Per my measurements and the sizing guide, I ordered a Large - which was quite big. I'm usually a small/medium, so was surprised the sizing guide suggested a Large anyway. Seems good quality and workmanship, just not the color I was looking for.

      Best Parka Ever!!!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I love this jacket. The removable hood and the quilted lining are excellent features to complement the outstanding warmth this parka provides. I wore this in the rain the first day I bought it and I'd give it a 10/10 waterproof rating. A must buy!
