Why We Like The VECTIV Infinite Trail Running Shoe
The VECTIV Infinite Trail Running Shoe is our go-to armor for our more rugged routes. Sticks, prickers, and rocks can try as hard as they want, but they'll never break through the bomb-proof uppers. As we get deeper into the woods, the singletrack becomes more technical, but we confidently keep our pace with the soft, perforated tongue and cushy footbed providing distraction-free comfort and the innovative Pebax plate providing multidirectional stability. As we come up and over the summit, the plush cushioning takes on more of our landing force to keep our joints happy as we fly downhill to blow past our previous record.

- I've put it through the wringer
- Runs large
The Vectiv Infinite has a feel and ride reminiscent of the Hoka Speedgoat but with a little more pop and pep. With about 50 miles on them so far these are holding up exceptionally well, aside from being brown instead of white now. Great traction for buffed out trails and dirt/fire roads, not ideal for the muddiest and sloppiest of trail but great for 95 percent of your running. After about 30 miles I noticed a major difference in the cushion, the first couple of runs were very stiff and rigid but finally broke in and felt smooth and soft. The rocker geometry really helps roll off the mid foot but would be ideal for someone with more of a heel strike to really ease the transition and take some pressure off your legs. The PBEX plate feels very different than a carbon fiber plate in marathon racing shoes, awesome push when you need it. Overall these are awesome shoes; however, the fit is a bit off with too wide of a heel and a bit longer of a toe box. I would recommend trying out a few different sizes to really dial in the fit, but overall the infinite would be a great shoe for longer distances on trails for anyone!

- I've used it several times
- True to size
First thing I noticed upon unboxing is the design of the upper, especially at the cuff. Very minimal yet clearly tough but without any real padding except for a little bit to cradle your Achilles and ankle. All doubts were erased, they are extremely comfortable out of the box and felt like they wrapped my feet perfectly. I wear typically a 9.5 and have slightly lower volume feet. Trails here in SLC are still snowy and muddy so have been hitting the pavement and so far I am really stoked on these. They disappear on your feet and really find a rhythm easily with the natural drop and bouncy midsole. They definitely are ready to roll on some rougher trails, can't wait to put them to a tougher test!
