Why We Like The VECTIV Exploris Mid FUTURELIGHT Leather Hike Boot

When the day calls for an involved hike to a remote summit we lace-up The North Face VECTIV Exploris Mid FUTURELIGHT Leather Hike Boot. This mid-height boot balances the support of a full TPU plate with lightweight low profile design. When the trail gets slippery we trust the 4mm lugs on the Vective sole to help us keep moving forward towards the summit.

Had high hopes, but a little disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes that these would replace my OBO hiking boots as a lightweight alternative. However, I am slightly disappointed to say that they are not the boot for me. I don't love them and will continue my search. These boots are not waterproof and after about 7 months of light wear/day hikes and one 6 day backpacking trip the toe rubber on the front of the boot is starting to separate from the shoe. I also had to replace the insole with one of my own as the thin flimsy one that arrived with the boot didn't last more than a couple of weeks.

I would recommend these to all my friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went on my first winter hike in MN, and these were a great fit for the snowy weather. They are water resistant, and are super easy to clean mud off. They are the perfect color and match my hiking gear. I appreciate the simplicity and quality of these hiking boots. I am glad I purchased them.

Very slim fitting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They are really nice shoes but they run super small. I had to size up a full shoe size for them to fit.

Unparalleled comfort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these boots to wear on my upcoming Torres del Paine 70-mile loop. With the caveat that the trip is still upcoming, I have worn these for shorter hikes and have found them very comfortable. I have incredibly sensitive feet and usually have to suffer through a period of discomfort before I break in shoes, but these have been largely comfortable from the first wear. I will have to update this review post-Torres del Paine.

The best hiking boot I've had in years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these to do some mid-level hiking and for a trip. They didn't require a break-in period, and they are very comfortable with a good grip. I've been very pleased and these have more than replaced my Merrell Moabs. I never felt as comfortable in those as I do in these North Face boots.
