Need breaking in but very comfortable once done
These shoes are very comfortable and hard wearing durable. A bit apprehensive when I first bought as lots of bad reviews.Great shoes for 500 miles/ month

fits way small
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] way too small. I have bought NF shoes 4 times before over the past 8 years, and the sizes were just right for my feet (13 mens). I got a new pair of the VECTIV™ Exploris FUTURELIGHT™ and they were way too small. Although sized at 13, I would guess that they fit at 11 or 12. Way too tight. I had to return them.

Supper Narrow and stiff on front
These shoes are extremely narrow and stiff on the side. They have caused major foot pain on the ball of my feet.

Quality and Durability
They are my first pair of hiking shoes. I only wore them once (my first hiking) and the front of my tennis shoe peeled off.

I personally like them
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these exclusively for backpacking and so far I like them. Only put about 45 miles on them so far though. First night was a downpour, shoes were soaked but My feet feel great when I get to camp which is a plus coming from 6 other brands I've tried. By morning they were nice and dry in my tent. I actually like these so much I just ordered the Mid version of this shoe (which is waterproof I believe). I'd recommend to get a half size bigger.

Solid and Simple Shoes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really great hiking shoes. They are very comfortable and high quality. I wish the laces were a bit gripper so they would stay tight other than that they're perfect.

MTP inner joints localized PAIN from inner shoe seam
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have wide feet (likely not a problem with narrower feet), the shoe will occasion pain at the inner metatarsophalangeal joint of each foot. There is a seam that is particularly sharp inside the shoe (on the inner side) which digs deeply into the joint and causes pain if your feet are wide (I am a black man). In my experience with wider feet the pain does not go away (thicker socks do not help). I used scissors and electronic wire cutting tools to get through a membrane and remove the offending (likely redundant) seams inside the shoe. So far so good. Still gave 5 stars because the shoes look great and I believe I fixed them. I would only recommend to a person with narrower feet than my own.
