Why We Like The North Face Triarch 2.0 2-Person 3-Season

The North Face Triarch 2.0 2 Tent helps us make the most of our space while keeping our weight down, too. The pole geometry and crossbar makes for nearly vertical walls and extra headroom to make the Triarch seem more spacious while the two side doors with vestibules secure extra space for our packs, shoes, and gear we don't want with us in the tent. The single-wall construction reduces the tent's weight and features a semi-freestanding design that we can set up with poles and with stake-out points.

Great tent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to set up, and I love how compact you could make it especially when bikepacking for multiple days! We camped a night in the rain and it was so nice to know that it was waterproof, we didn't get wet at all. Only thing I wish it had was a footprint. Hopefully this is made in the near future!

Spacious tent with potential Achilles' Heel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once you manage to puzzle your way through the text-less line drawings that provide a few bare hints on tent assembly, you have a comfortable, spacious tent on your hands. Weight wasn't too bad, doable for 3 season backpacking and car camping. But on my second campout, the aluminum portion of the poles shattered in my hands under only the mildest of strain. I managed to rig some cardboard at the break to protect the tent fabric, but this appears to be a definite Achilles' heel in this otherwise well-built tent. Will this be your experience too, or was this a one-off event? Who know? And if anyone would care to document how to assemble the tent with text and not just simple line drawings, I would be very grateful. Post a how-to video on YouTube and we'll be trail buddies for life!
