ThermoBall Pullover Jacket
On multi-day backpacking trips in cold, wet conditions, the ThermoBall Pullover Jacket from The North Face offers you the warmth you need without adding weight or bulk to your pack. A DWR treatment to the face fabric protects you from moisture while the ThermoBall insulation retains its loft and warmth even when it gets wet to keep you dry on the trails through unexpected storms. Its bottleneck quilting reduces insulation shifting around and creating cold spots so you'll stay nice and warm as the evening settles in. When you're up against a strenuous ascent, side zippers and the front zipper can be undone to quickly dump excess heat to keep you comfortable as you log miles.

Best Light Weight Jacket
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
Warmest light weight jacket I have ever owned! Great for windy days and the slopes....
I have always been an outdoorsmen. I've live in all the various terrains that the northeast has to offer and so I say with qualifications, this product is one of my prized articles of clothing for living out of doors!
It crumbles up to a softball sized item in the pack or pocket, it maintains its heat holding qualities when wet, it feels good on alone or under another layer and it seals up where it counts and conversely, vents where it should.
I have a new passion of motorcycle touring and it fits in better than specialty items from the motorcycle world. Backcountry should make a new category of activity: Motorcycle touring!
The only thing readers need to know (that the pictures do not show) is that the side zippers go all the way up to the armpit; even better than anticipated! I do wish that the zippers would be two way though.
I would recommend this item.
