- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I may have purchased for the wrong reason. Purchased for commuting purpose, not including a laptop, that space is just unused. The remaining space is just difficult to access. Beautiful color, but too sturdy, no give. It falls over, perhaps by design. The straps are uncomfortable. I can't access my belongings quickly enough.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I bought this for traveling (moving across the country actually) and I needed a new laptop bag that offered some protection, I carried my laptop, tablet, paperwork, and a bunch of misc. items in it and I never worried about my stuff getting beat up. That being said, this backpack does get pretty heavy, I don't know that it would be my first choice if I using it on a daily basis for a laptop/text books...
The color is fantastic! Pictures here are true to actual color. It holds a lot. I love all the pockets and it easily holds a 15" MacBook in a sleeve or soft case AND an iPad in a case. Plus books, textbooks and school supplies. But ... This is the most uncomfortable backpack I have ever worn. I have only had it a week, but I use it daily ... Hoping the straps soften up. I also have a Jester. It doesn't have a laptop sleeve which is why I wanted this bag. But Jester is so comfortable! I put the same exact items in the Jester and the Surge ... Jester wins. Maybe "women's" bags are for shorter women? I'm 5'9 and I just don't like how this bag feels/where it sits or the straps. It's disappointing. I love The North Face! Just not this bag. Not worth the $
What is the capacity of this bag ?
