Ventilation that's as active as you.
So, you're seeking for an insulated jacket that can actually keep up with your dawn patrol exploits and big-mountain ascents? The North Face Women's Summit L3 Ventrix Hooded Insulated Jacket delivers both the active ventilation and essential warmth required to tick off famous lines and legendary peaks from your objective list this winter season. Its relatively lightweight nature allows you to easily stuff this in a pack and wear it on fast-paced summit pushes without slowing down.
One of the true innovations we've seen in outerwear as of late, Ventrix insulation uses stretch perforations designed within the insulation itself. These perforations open and close with every body movement, regulating your temperature on the ascent without overheating or sweating issues associated with multi-hour skins uphill and daunting pushes to the summit. Once you've reached the summit and stopped moving, the insulation's perforations naturally close up, so you're not susceptible to frigid drafts of air along exposed alpine zones.
Seeing it's part of the Summit Series, the jacket's zippered hand pockets are easily accessible with a pack and harness on, plus there's a helmet-compatible hood that's both adjustable and elasticized for a snug fit. The Summit L3 Ventrix Hooded Insulated Jacket uses a lightweight nylon-stretch ripstop fabric that's both tough-wearing and water-resistant, so you won't have to worry about light snow and rain showers when you're moving through the mountains.

- Q & A
YESSS! Perfect for being super active.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
This coat is amazing. I often get a bit sweaty when skiing and wanted a warm layer I could wear and wash (unlike my down puffers). This coat exceeded my expectations. When you first put it on it doesn't seem super warm, but the second you start hiking or skiing it uses your own warmth and really keeps you toasty! I wore it skiing in -10 degrees (with base layers) and was great! It's also great on a day-to-day basis around the city.
