Stormbreak 2 Tent

Perfect for those quick need-to-get-outdoors-now trips, The North Face Stormbreak 2 tent is a weekend warrior favorite. Whether you are heading out solo with your fur baby or sharing with a partner, the Stormbreak 2 is the ideal all-in-one size and weight for both the car camper and curious backpacker. When you are ready to test out a longer backpacking excursion, ditch the main body for the lightweight fast-pitch option and lighten your load like a seasoned backpacker.

This year’s model is made with larger doors so that you and your partner can comfortably move in and out without having to crawl over each other or rattle the tent in the middle of the night. The high-low air flow ventilation helps prevent you from overheating when you find yourself too close to your partner in the middle of the night while the double vestibule design gives you more room to leave your gear outside for increased comfort inside the tent. Mesh walls allow for optimal star viewing and waking up with the sun so you can get the full experience of sleeping in the outdoors.

  • Designed for road-side pitches and multi-mile trails
  • Perfectly fits yourself and additional human or fur companion
  • Fully sealed canopy and floor increases construction durability
  • Newly designed vestibule increases outside storage
  • Two-door design creates easier in-and-out maneuvering
  • Fast-pitch capabilities for lightweight backpacking
  • Item #TNF03ZV

Disappointing

I bought this tent for my first camping trip. I always love the north face product and that's why I bought this tent for my vary first camping trip. I love the color of the tent it's nice navy/teal color everyone said its really nice. It's also really easy to pitch and light weight. I love everything about the tent until we took the second trip. The tent pole was just broken in the middle of sleep. My husband and I heard really loud noice in the middle of the night and we were trying to go back to the sleep. After 2-30 minutes, we heard another really loud noise. And we saw the one of the main poles was shattered into 2 pieces and the broken pole was almost getting ripped through the rainfly. We were shocked because the weather was really nice and there was barely any wind that night. Of course, because of Covid 19 it was impossible to find campsite during weekends where I live. Even we bought this tent over 2-3 months ago, we've only taken 2 trips with the tent. Now we have a brand new tent with a broken pole. I contacted warranty department since it's outside of 30 days of return period. I really think the tent should last more than 2 trips. I have another trip coming up soon and I hate to miss the trip because of the broken tent.

Super disappointing

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Our family has a TNF Trailhead 6 and we love it. It's well constructed and made from good materials. This tent is awful. It's cheaply made, rickety, leaks and not fit for two people at all. I can't believe TNF put their logo on this. This is a Walmart product. Unfortunately, it's too late to return this as it's been longer than 30 days. I thought I remembered BC having a "return it anytime" policy but I guess that got changed. It's a shame. It was one of the key reasons we've bought so much gear from BC.

Great for the $

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Took this tent on a back country hunting trip. Very nice tent that didn’t leak at all. It’s a little bulky compared to others but for the price it worked for me.

Yet to use

I haven't used this yet but I played with it in the living room and It should be adequate for my dog, my mans, and me. I'll have to update this review once I actually use it in the field.

I was gifted this for my birthday and was super stoked! Took it out right away and I love it! Easy to put up and take down, great size for backpacking. Can fit 3 people if you are feeling up for a cuddle puddle. I highly recommend this tent.

Solid tent, great for almost everything

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've had one of these few about 2 years, and recently got another as a gift for my mother. If you're looking for a backpacking tent on the cheaper side that isn't too heavy and get's the job done, this is for you. I've used my tent a lot and it still looks great, no tears or holes, and doesn't smell at all! I've even squeezed 3 people in it and it worked pretty well! Pros: Durable Can fit 3 people if needed Inexpensive Cons: On the heavy side Zippers catch a lot when using the rain fly TNF ground pad for it is expensive (in hindsight I wish I just got a normal tarp)

Great tent great price

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Great backpacking tent for the price. Not crazy light but it does the job. Slept through rain twice, once which was torrential downpour, and not a drop got in. Easy to set up, has 2 doors and vestibules. Doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but a superb tent nonetheless
