Prime for trekking.
From thru-hikes along sections of the Appalachian Trail to afternoon escapes into the National Forest just outside of town, The North Face Men's Progressor Pant provides the free-flexing mobility and reinforced toughness to withstand hardcore use and abuse on the trail. It's created to withstand anything the trail throws your way, from lunch breaks sitting on abrasive rocks to tip toeing across downed logs as a means of crossing a creek.
The seat and knees are reinforced with stretch-woven ripstop, treated with a DWR finish to repel moisture when you're sitting and bushwhacking in the wet. The North Face uses a gusseted crotch and articulated knees to promote mobility when you're high-stepping over fallen logs and walking cautiously along cliff bands. It's finished with numerous zippered pockets for quickly grabbing your map and snacks as you walk towards your trail destination.

Nice Hiking Pants
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 32/regular
- Height: 6'0"
- Weight: 175lbs
I'm 6ft, 175lbs and ordered the 32/reg. My weight fluctuates 5-10lbs any given month. Right now I would say 175lbs is pushing the top end of my normal weight. That being said, the stretch waistband has worked out well for me. These pants are light weight, super stretchy, and extremely comfortable. I've taken these out on a few hikes, including a 15 miler, and they have been great. Fair warning, these are on the slim side of slim. Only thing I would do differently is probably order the "long" version since I usually like my pants a little longer (32x34).
Great look/materials. Had to return.
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: 30 regular
- Height: 5'7"
- Weight: 138lbs
I loved the look of these pants. The lightweight, high quality materials felt amazing. Had to return though because a 30 waist in North Face was way too big, even though a 30 is perfect with other designers. Wish North Face offered a 28 in these. Would try again.
These pants fit true to size. I am a 35 and originally ordered the 34 but they were just a little too tight so I returned them for a 36 and they are an inch big in the waist but fit great everywhere else. They have the perfect amount of stretch and all the pockets can fit an iPhone plus easily. These are my new favorite pants.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 30 reg
- Height: 5'11"
- Weight: 150lbs
I have used these pants for a few backpacking trips, climbing, and just casually. They are great for everything! They are lightweight, have a bit of a stretch to them, and can keep dry in a little bit of rain. Definitely recommend these.
