These shorts are comfortable but a little long and also tighter around the waist then expected.

Bunchy Butt and excessive belt dangling
Firstly, I like the color and the fabric seems strong and durable. Unfortunately, I did not feel these were quite what I was hoping they would be. I should've heeded the advice of the other bunchy butt review. I was not a big fan of this, and then the belt was far too long. The pictures show the belt neatly tucked into the first belt loop, but it was way longer. It barely reached the second loop. My purpose for these was to be used for climbing. I feel like the belt would be in the way or get caught on other gear.

Bring Back The Previous Version
While the current version of TNF’s Paramount shorts is okay (I have two pairs), I find the previous version with the giagantic front and rear pockets to be more useful. Yeah, stuff like loose change can fall out of the front pockets when I sit down but the big pockets more than make up for this. With the current version,, I’m tied to the patch pockets. The little zippered pockets are useless for me. Otherwise, I guess that the current version appears to be well-made. The price is right.

Call me "Flaco"
They are quality shorts, but made me look like I was wearing a 19th century bustle. The straight version is much better fitted for us skinny folks.

Perfect Trail Shorts
I'm 5'11" 200+ with a 36-in waist, and these shorts fit perfectly. Down to the top of my knees, and the Large is a perfect waist size. All of the pockets are sturdy mesh, so no drainage problem. The nylon material is quick-drying, a must for serious hiking/backpacking or anything on or in the water. The cargo pockets run the full length of the legs, so they are plenty deep and roomy. Yet to see how long the integrated belt is going to last, the plastic buckle seems a bit flimsy, but they also have belt loops so I can wear a real belt when the time comes. I'll also be watching the zippered pockets, but the zippers seem to be pretty sturdy.

I got these for my boyfriend. Here is his feedback: I returned the shorts after trying them on due to the length of the shorts. I am 6'4" and these shorts ended about two inches above my knee. These shorts run true to size just are not long enough.
