Your dogs will be barking and your legs will be begging for some R&R when you return to camp from that ten-mile grinder of a hike, so The North Face Homestead Roomy 2 Person 3-Season Tent will feel like a luxury suite perched between a cozy little hamlet of trees. With a design the maximizes internal living space, the Homestead gives you and your hiking partner room to stretch and relax, but not at the cost of weather protection and weight. A beautiful, eye catching tent!

I've used it several times

My husband and I received this tent as a wedding gift. We didn't pick it out, but we absolutely love the "low-poly" design. It is an absolutely beautiful tent and we are constantly getting compliments. Its also an eye-catcher, because when we explain to other campers where we are, they reply "The cool looking North Face Tent?", so we know we aren't the only ones who love the way it looks. Looks aside, its still a great tent. I love the different features of it. We are able to keep shoes and a few other things outside, and they are still protected from any rain because there is a large vestibule outside each of the doors, which frees up a little space and allows for the tent to stay clean from our shoes. There are mesh pockets in each corner that are very useful, we usually put our phones, wallets, etc. in them while we are asleep, but we could stuff a lot more in there. We also really love all of the loops and cords that make it easy to hang a light and other things, and we also like the features from the pole-bag and can use that to store a lot of items as well. Overall we love the tent, and if you love camping in comfort and style, you will too! We have taken it on quite a few camping trips, both on and off of standard campgrounds. It is very easy to pitch and is very durable. It never gets muggy because the rain cover stops about 6" from the ground, and the inside doors are all mesh, but it is also able to block any wind, so it doesn't seem to get too hot or too cold. We have also stayed in it for two thunder storms and managed to keep ourselves and our belongings perfectly dry. It is not only a beautiful tent, but a very functional one as well. I would reccomend this tent over and over again!

Buy it for the print alone

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

So first off is the fly print on this thing, it is super wicked and I love it! As for the tent itself so far I have no complaints. More roomy then my marmot limelight 2p and packs only slightly bigger. Plus it has a fly/footprint fast pitch capability although the footprint is not included its worth getting. Has nice vestibule space and two entrances. The gear loft is nice along with all the other storage and hanging options. I cant tell you how it holds up in the weather as it hasn't seen any rain or wind but seems like it will hold up great especially if anchored and set up properly.

So far looks perfect!

I've just put this together in my living room so far - so haven't tested the waterproofness yet. Very easy to put together for 1 person. It is indeed a roomy 2 person tent: generous height, and my 6'2'' husband was able to stretch out full length. It is very well thought out in little details: little pockets stow away guy lines outside so they don't dangle when unused, lots of handy pockets and hooks inside, a line to hang wet gear threaded around the top inside, the pole storage also doubles as a hanging pocket for electronics - or as a roof shelf. The door zippers are well done. The inside mesh door falls in when opened (zipper is on the top rather than side/bottom. Hopefully this won't bring in bugs/water drops inside the tent. The tent is symmetrical, so the two entrances and vestibules are identical in size. Poles are aluminum. Things are colour coded for faster set up. The flap over the zipper on the outside doors doesn't seem to get stuck in the zipper - a pet peeve in my other NF tent. This is a two person tent that will ACTUALLY fit two full size adults comfortably! At three kilos it is on the heavier side but comparable to three people tents in the same price range. Still small enough to split between two backpacks or bike gear bags. The print and colour look great. The only downside I have found so far is no little vent window - will see how this will affect stuffiness or condensation when used outside. And hoping for waterproofness to be sufficient - the specs are average. So far very pleased with it!

Where do I find a foot print for this?
