    Great first bib experience!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: L
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 1185lbs

I picked these up as an alternative to my old softshell pants. I am impressed! The weight and fit are great. You barely notice they are there. I am 6'1" 185lbs and these are narrow enough to stay out of the way, but wide enough for snowboard boots. The variety of pockets are great for passes, snacks, etc... The shoulder straps have a velcro clasp and are made out of a stretchy material. This allows for a lot of movement and minimal pressure points. The adjustable waist belt is nice if you are kicking back eating lunch, or just need a bib break. The reinforced instep fabric seems solid. Overall this is a solid bib option that blends durability with weight. Definitely worth it!

    Just About Perfect

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 175lbs

These bibs are really impressive. Tons of storage options with taped zippers. They have a great, relaxed fit and are reinforced in all the right areas. They feel burly without being heavy. My one really small complaint is the shoulder straps arent the easiest to adjust. I actually prefer the NF Freedom bibs straps as they have a more classic slide strap instead of velcro. But other than that, these are just about perfect. They look great, feel durable, and have all the features you'd want in a shell bib.

    Dibs on these Bibs!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: L/Reg
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 175lbs

My friend and I used these bibs a few weeks back over a long weekend of skiing at Solitude and Beaver Mountain here in Utah. Each morning someone yelled "dibs on the bibs!" to secure their use. I've used North Face bibs for years, but never anything quite as nice as the Fuse Brigandine. They are super high quality! My friend typically uses pants to alleviate stress on his shoulders (which are messed up from injury). The straps on these bibs do not have buckles or hardware, so the velcro straps were very convenient, comfortable and easy to adjust for him. We both found them to be very water/snow proof and warm, which was great for the deep, wet snow we had all weekend. Noticeably less baggy than my less expensive NF bibs, and the tighter fit doesn't restrict movement. The two thigh vents are convenient when things get hot down the slopes. Overall, we both highly recommend these for anything from resorts to cold weather backcountry ski touring

    Dibs on these Bibs!

    Top of the Line

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

These bibs are incredible. The 3 layer Gore-Tex material is impenetrable yet still light and easy to move around in. I love the kangaroo pocket on the chest, and the abundance of pockets in general. The straps are easy to adjust, as well as the belt around the waist so dialing in your fit is super easy. The Beech Green color is definitely more a brown than a tan, but other than that these bibs are perfect.

    #1 bib hands down

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 155lbs

I was never a huge fan of bibs. I felt like they didn't fit as well as normal ski/snowboard pants, the straps always got in the way, there were uncomfortable pressure points, and they were very baggy. This Bib proved every single one of those things wrong and converted me to wearing bibs... But only this bib.

One of my favorite features about this bib is the waist strap that you can tighten for a secure fit. There is a strap that you can sinch to the tightness that you would like and then just a clip that holds it in place. It was awesome. I was so comfortable, was saved of the inconvenience of wearing a belt and avoided the baggyness of elsastic waists. This bib also has very comfortable shoulder straps. I always forget that they are there.

In conclusion, this bib is so awesome. Completely waterproof/windproof, great adjustability with no bad pressure points, and a very durable material. It is awesome.

Best BIB to rule them all!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 180lbs

I went through a serious search for a bib that fit well, I been through every brand you can think of and returned a lot, that is also an understatement. Finally, I get these and immediately blown away at the quality! North Face made this in their steep series line for people with one thing in mind, freeride skiing or snowboarding! Whether you are getting off a heli or going side country off a resort. Maybe even just need something that is super water resistent that can keep the elements away from your skin. This bib has all the bells and whistles you want! Velcro straps to tighten around your waist, the fit is more relaxed but not baggy. In addition, my favorite thing about this is the shoulder straps, if you need to wear a pack, the Velcro straps you use to adjust the sizing is on your chest and not your shoulder. Which some bibs do and if you need to carry gear, just makes for a bad time on the shoulders. The zippers are amazing for getting in and out of the bib too! As well as operate as vents if and should things get hot, well two thigh vents to be exact, with one thigh vent also acting as the means of how you get into the bib! Very strategic pockets you can use if you need to pack maps, beacons or anything else you can think of that you need on resort (e.g. beers, snacks, water, etc). The gore is burly as you would expect from a 3 layer piece. And the fuseform technology is placed in areas that need to stretch as well. I am 5"7" and 180 LBS. I chose the Large/Regular size and love the fit. No riding up in the crotch area at all, not tightness in the chest or hips. Feel free to reach out if you need help with this bib.

Best BIB to rule them all!

John, I actually have not had that problem. Personally I think that they sit wide and they are comfortable. I always do wear base layers with collars or midlayers with collars. I do this for backcountry snowboarding, because I run into that problem with beacon straps. But this is probably the reason I don't ever have my neck rubbed by the straps.

Regardless, I have a hard time seeing that the straps would do this even if I didn't have a collar. So I have no experience with the straps rubbing my neck. Hope that helps and feel free to email me if you need help with this.
