Almost Perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these. They fit great around the waist. They're the perfect length. Very light and breathable and no hindering. They get a 4 out of 5 because the feel kind of cheap and after a day of wearing them the liner started to fray at the seam. Looks more like cosmetic damage vs structural but still...

TNF really got the compression right on this one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried a couple of pairs of long hauls in the past few years and the compression never worked for me - it was too loose. The stride lights are perfect, they are not restrictive. They are my new go-to long day pair of shorts. Perfect for mountain running or ultras, dadding etc.

Love. Them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TNF really got the compression right on these bad boys, so much better than the long hauls

best running shorts I've found in years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] really like these - they are comfortable and fit well, but they don't chat/rub. on a 12 mile run, they are comfortable the whole time. they are expensive, but I run a lot and comfort matters. these work well as a base under long running pants for winder.

Light and comfy - cheap material
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to other shorts in this price range (Vuori or lululemon) the materials on these shorts feel cheaper. That being said they are lighter than competitor's products so thats a plus!

I Miss the Old Better Than Naked 2-in-1
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first pair of long distance shorts were some 7 or 8 year old Better Than Naked 2-in-1s. They had pockets EVERYWHERE. I wore them training for my first marathon. I wore them running my first marathon. I wore them to the gym when I started doing boot camp. I wore them training for my second marathon. Now, training for my 3rd marathon, I was looking for some new shorts, as the old ones had fallen apart. Well, Northface doesn't seem to make BTN2N1s anymore, so.I went with these. Very lightweight, but after a few 10+ mile runs, I really, really miss my old BTNs. The outer sleeve rides up while I run. The pockets can hold all my stuff, but not happily. They're serviceable, but at this price they should be outstanding. Around the same time I bought a pair of 2 in 1s from a competiting brand whose name starts with W and ends in O. They cost about the same, are generally heavier weight material, but fit more comfortably, don't ride and have better designed pockets. It's a bummer. TNF treated me and my long distance running right for years. These were really a let down.

Pretty close to perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great running shorts. After running about 50 miles in them I'm very happy. The inner liner makes for very comfortable long runs, no chafing, and allows for great wicking. I like these so much I bought a second pair. I'm 71" tall, 185#, 34" waist, 32" inseam. I wear a large Only con is that I'd like to see a side pocket for ID

Great Shorts for Trail & Road Running
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are great! Lightweight and breathable with no chafing issues. For reference, I've run ~50 miles in these shorts averaging about 5-6 miles per run. My only complaint and the reason for only 4 out of 5 stars is the waistband does not cinch down entirely and feels a bit loose. With that said, the loose waist is not at all noticeable when running. The pockets are also fantastic including the thigh phone pocket. For a sizing reference, I'm 5'8, 140# and size small fits me perfectly.
