My sons play ice hockey so I live at the rink and I am always searching for the perfect light weight, super warm, and super long coat - basically I want a sleeping bag with arm and leg holes and this coat is my absolute dream come true! I ordered a size Medium expecting it to be too big but to my surprise, it fits perfectly! (a tag on the coat says Slim Fit) So, I would say it runs on the small side, if you are between sizes, order up! It fits my figure very well, it is NOT a boxy coat! I would even say it is a slenderizing down coat which is normally an oxymoron! Regarding length, it hits me at the middle of my calf (half way between the knee and ankle) which is actually perfect, with tall boots, I have full coverage! (I am 5'7"). It has a great design perk, the zipper does not go all the way to the bottom of the coat (but the snaps do) so you can actually take normal steps and walk in the coat and you don't have to sit to zip it up (i have to step into my other long coat that zips to the bottom). It also has 2 rows of vertical snaps at the back bottom of the coat, like a vent where you can open the snaps to also be able to walk (or I think that's what it's for). If the snaps are snapped closed you can't even tell that they are there. It also has a very long garment bag/cover (with hanger opening at the top) so the coat can be covered in your closet. I say bravo to the person/team that designed this coat, they thought of everything! Buy this coat now! You will be so happy you did!
