Perfect hiking backpack for beginners/day hikes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for hiking my first 4,000 footer in Maine. Held enough snacks, clothes, and water for the whole day.

Great warm-weather day pack.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hiked about 75 miles last year using the bag. It's great for warm weather. Only con is that the waist belt needs to be sewn in place rather than free-moving.

Poor Fit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Chimera 18 for fly fishing, hiking, travel, etc. The first few times I used it, I just happened to pack pretty light and I noticed it was snug, but wearable. The next several times I packed it a little closer to its capacity and the straps hurt my sides and under my arms. Way too small on the shoulder straps. I'm fit, 6"1', 190lbs, 34 waist, and I have several other day packs by TNF, Dakine, REI, etc. The length of the strap seems to be the main culprit. TNF should offer this in a few sizes if they are going to keep the strap length as it is. Much like footwear, packs need to be comfortable under load capacity. It's past the 60 days so I'll keep it but I'm disappointed in this product.

Great backpack for hiking or riding a bike
I use this for hiking and when I'm riding my bike. It holds the essentials I need (water and sports gel). I just wish there were more colors .

Best pack I've ever owned
Lightweight and durable, I mainly go on medium length hikes so this is the perfect pack for an extra layer and plenty of snacks.

Great Bag for Run Commuting
I purchased this bag to use during my commute to work. This bag fits my laptop, lunch and a change of clothes. With the adjustable bungees and straps, it sits in a pretty good spot with minimal space. I would not recommend this for distance training if you are looking for a bag with more than just bladder. It does have pockets on the straps, but not big enough for water bottles.

Lightweight, Warm Weather, High Activity
I really like this little pack. It holds a ton more than expected. Has two separate inside pouches. Smaller funnel shaped inside pocket is easy to lose lip balm, change or other smaller stuffs in the crevasse. Outside stretchy pockets were a nice surprise as you can load them with layers or a bladder. The stretchy mesh pockets on the straps are nice too.
