- Q & A
Wife loved them
Great looking boots. A shame we had to return them, she's a 6.5 and other reviews say go a size up, so we got the 7s, and were too big.
Too hard to get on / ripped stitching
I understand that these can't have zippers that go too low because they are water proof but they were nearly impossible to get on, and it's not because the size was wrong. Once they were on they fit perfectly, but 20 Minutes to wrestle on a pair of boots just isn't worth it. Also, the stitches on one of the boots were ripped on a seem (possibly from someone else trying them on and having the same issue I did?). Anyway, for the price, they weren't worth the effort.
- Fit: Runs small

These boots are both fashionable and functional. Super cute to wear with all of my winter clothes. I recommend going up a size, since there is not a zipper and the closure stretch panel does not go down far enough to help get your foot past the ankle part of the boot. It was still hard getting my foot in when I sized up, but after putting them on a few times it got a little easier. Since I had to size up there is more room for thicker socks too. Also backcountry provided amazing customer service when I had to return them for a bigger size. The primaloft keeps the boots warm enough that when I was snow plowing my driveway last night in our latest freak blizzard they did not get cold at all. Also the waterproofing held true and my feet did not get wet. The soles have better grip than any shoe I've ever worn. But still be cautious on ice since it still does not have grip on ice. I have seen videos where they advertise this sole walking up solid ice blocks, but I have tested them in every situation I come across ice it is still slick.
