Great jacket

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
True to size

We bought this for my brother in law and here's what he says: "This is an awesome jacket; very light-weight and also works well during damp days to protect me from light rain. I have used this jacket on several hikes during chilly months and it breathes well but keeps me warm."

Perfect for layering

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I recently ordered this after my apex chromium purchase. The Borod is a nice material but much thinner than expected. It does work well in the office because of the constant AC but I don’t think I could depend on it as a fleece jacket. It’s more of a fleece shirt. If you hold it up to a light you can see right through the material patterns. Quality item just can’t consider it fleece or jacket in my opinion. I do look forward to having it for layering with the apex chromium jacket though. This is a slim fit so I’d recommend one size up to get the feel of your actual size if you prefer a regular fit. Glad I got it on sale with the winter discount but wouldn’t pay full retail price for this if I wanted a fleece jacket. Fleece shirt with a zipper is closer to description.

So first off the price is a little steep for what you get. It is a thin shell. Good for a spring day etc. I wouldn't rely on it below 45 degrees outside. I will say backcountry gave me 20% off the jacket when purchased as a new customer, so that worked out well on the steep price tag. It's a really nice product and I dont see any flaws, so I'm not too sure what everyone else is complaining about. Stop whining ya babies.

Decent thin soft-shell

I've put it through the wringer

This is a decent soft-shell option (light, packable, comfortable) but I don't love it. I find it fits well but I like slim cut items so if you want a loose fitting item this might not work for you. The main zipper snags EVERY time. I end up having to use two hands to undo this jacket (not ideal for climbing). I should have returned it but never got around to it so I will live with it or simply cut out the inner flap where it snags. I would recommend another option.

Thank you for the feedback Winston!

Sizes listed are not correct

Runs small

The sizing chart should clearly state that this is a SLIM FIT "LARGE". In other words if you expect a Large you won't get it.
