Playing the song of warmth and comfort.
Crawl into The North Face Women's 15 Degree Down Blue Kazoo Sleeping Bag for a downright toasty night's sleep on the mountain. Ready to handle three-season temps in the backcountry, the Blue Kazoo uses water-resistant 650-fill ProDown insulation for reliable warmth in moisture-riddled environments, and even compresses small to keep the overall weight down. This insulation's hydrophobic finish also improves your warmth by drying faster and repelling moisture ten times longer than your average untreated fill.
The North Face sewed anti-compression pads in high-pressure areas that contact the ground to deliver an insulating buffer for extra warmth. Its shaped hood and down-insulated draft collar trap your precious body heat when things really cool down, while the anti-snag tape keeps the zipper from catching on the draft tube for a smooth entry and exit. Pad loops give you a way to attach the sleeping bag to your sleeping pad to prevent you from slipping off the pad overnight, and the compression and storage sack make heading to the next site a breeze.

First Down Bag
This is my first down bag. I wavered between down and synthetic. I have to admit down made me a little anxious, as it is considered more maintenance than synthetic. I first bought TNF Women's Cat's Meow, although it is a very nice synthetic bag, it was too bulky for backpacking and it doesn't compress easily, so it was returned. I apprehensively purchased the Blue Kazoo and I'm so glad I stepped over to the down side. It is much lighter and much more easier to compress. It also actually fit into the sleeping bag compartment of my pack without putting a strain on the zipper. I have yet to use it outdoors since it is triple digits in summer. in TX, but I can say I'm excited for the opportunity to use it.
Great bag. Excited to use it more
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is my first down sleeping bag, and so far so great. It's comfortable, warm and feels nice and natural to lay in. The shape fits my 5'5" frame well. I also love the blue colors and glow in the dark zipper. It's held up great during my initial uses of cool summer camping sans tent.
