The North Face Alpine Guide 3 Tent: 3-Person 4-Season

Designed with Peter Athans and Alpine Ascents International, The North Face Alpine Guide 3 Tent uses an innovative hybrid design to thrive in high alpine environments. While most tents have a double-wall construction (tent and fly), and most mountaineering tents have a weight-saving single-wall construction, the Alpine Guide is constructed with both single-wall at the rear and double-wall at the front. The double-wall includes a large fly that amplifies weather protection and breathability at the head of your bed, and the single-wall construction drastically reduces weight and packing space without hindering weather protection. The fly also creates a large vestibule to store climbing gear when it's wet out. A durable architecture resists the harshest conditions with DAC Featherlite poles sliding through internal sleeves, and DAC stakes pounded through the corners. The Alpine Guide 3 also features ventilation windows up top and at the sides for warmer weather, and the rear escape-hatch comes in handy when the front door is snowed out.
