The sandal that revolutionized the way we play in the outdoors.

Nearly thirty years ago, a river guide revolutionized outdoor footwear when he cobbled together a sandal that was comfortable, water-friendly, and would stay on his feet. Teva is celebrating by bringing back, for a limited time, the Men's Original Universal Sandal, one of its very first products. Featuring the then-revolutionary, now-classic technical water sandal design we all recognize, this limited edition has been jazzed up with new color options that make it just as appealing and relevant today as it was way back when.

Strong, Light, and comfortable. I’ve hiked mountains, beaches, and rivers in these. Great traction definitely worth the money. Chacos are nice but heavy, rigid, and expensive. Tevas feel more pliable light-weight.

not much more to say about these that hasn't been said. Classic style has stayed true to form for years now. I did find them to be just slightly on the larger side.

Look 90’s cool like when we reinvented the 60’s! BUT my feet have ages since then and these were not up to the task of keeping me walking painlessly. Within a month I had developed severe arch pain and Achilles pain and when you look at the shoe it’s easy to see why. Zero support. It’s been over a year and I’m still dealing with the repercussions.

I wear these Teva's casually, and love the look. Socks or no socks, they fit true to size (I'm basically a universal size 10). I am excited to try them for water sports!

These Tevas are beyond comfortable and I love the colors. I wish the soles were a little more stiff and durable, but function awesome. I would definitely recommend these to someone looking for a causal hiking sandal.

These Teva's are the old standby. I love the colors though. And they fit and feel great. The soles wear out too fast but there's no denying they're comfortable!

I bought these before going on a cruise, and they worked amazingly. They were perfect because I was going back and forth between sightseeing and hanging out at the beach. Didn’t rub or leave sore spots at all, even when they were brand new.

These lack the support, security, and traction you get from Chacos. That said, they're much more comfortable, and they don't make you look like an "outdoor bro" when you're just wearing them to walk the dog or chill at a lake. When flip flops won't cut it, but Chacos are overkill, these at perfect.

I was having one of those mornings where I was in a bit of a funk. I slept in, the coffee I made was sour, I had trouble finding my keys and wallet before leaving the house. Traffic was heavy and I was already running late for work. That particular morning I made sure to grab my new Teva sandals, which I had yet to un-box, and slipped them on while I was stopped at a red light on my way to work. Upon exiting the truck I loaded them up for the first time and had a bit of an epiphany. The initial comfort and the way in which they contoured my feet so perfectly was a bit astounding for such a simple piece of footwear. My day literally turned around at that point. I had a glide in my stride and a dip in my hip for the rest of the day and I am not totally sure I've quite come down of the stoke level on these that were my initial impressions. For the past 2 months I have lived in these sandals. I have done everything from dog walks, light hiking, and even a little bit of light trail running. Bike rides in the neighbor hood with the toddler to bombing hills in the neighbor hood on my longboard and even a stint at the local skate park on the dirt jumper; though I kept a lid on it as I was keeping an eye on my toddler while he was on his run bike. These sandals are light weight and feel very secure. These are not just for lounging! While sandals may not be your typical foot wear for the aforementioned activities the security and feel under foot will have your feet begging to differ. Use your discretion of course, as like most other open toed footwear, there is a lot of toe protection to be desired. If I may nitpick on just one point. Just yesterday I was in the Uintas and found myself in and out of the Provo River to cool off mid hike. Grip between the sandal bottom and the river stones/rock was excellent. Upon exiting the river and hoofing it back to the trailhead I found the grip between my feet and the bed of the sandal a bit slippery. However, battening down the hatches via tightening down the duelling straps remedied the issue so it wasn't too distracting. Note again: I am nitpicking here! I have a very wide 10 to 10.5 foot. I ordered the size 10. While they work just fine I might try the 10.5s next time. I would call them out as running true to size. If you're still on the fence I have one further testimonial. I recently got a puppy. She's developed a reputation for chewing and our footwear has been no exception. I left my sandals out on the front porch to dry post washing and though she dragged them into the yard where she left them largely unscathed. Dogs have an intuition that is unparalleled. Though we have had our dog a very short time I think she understood how much my Teva sandals meant to me. I would recommend these sandals to anyone who care about their feet! I hope you find yourself in a pair of these and love them every bit as I do! I've included a picture of myself participating in sports in my Tevas for your reference and viewing pleasure!

Thrilllled

I needed a light-weight option and I’m thrilled. These sandals have fulfilled their purpose and they feel great. Instantly comfortable, supportive, and durable. One of the only problems I seem to have is my foot shifting to the outside of the sandal up against my pinky toe. Either way, certainly worth the value and I would definitely recommend them!

I bought these sandals for a week long Costa Rica surf trip. I probably walked 2-3 miles a day in them for a week. I chose the 'Peaks Olive' fabric, which turned out to be very soft. The last time I bought a pair of basic Tevas was over 10 years ago. Back then I had to wear them before a trip to build up calluses. That is not the case with the latest models. These were comfortable from day one and I didn't get any blisters. Unlike the basic Chacos, I appreciate the ability to separately tighten the front and rear straps. It is very convenient to tighten the front and loosen the rear so they act like flip flops and are easier to slip on when going on short walking bouts.

I took these on a trip to California and ended up using them every single day! not as bulky as other sandals. They are not heavy duty with that being said but for walking around town and going to the beach they are great! If you are in-between sizes, just size up

I bought these shoes for my boyfriend and this is his review, "I love these. I was apprehensive at first about getting a pair of strapped sandals after years of only wearing flip flops, but these sandals are great for the outdoors. In the hot days where I know the terrain I'll be traveling in, these are a must. They are supportive enough for serious hill climbs, and comfortable enough to keep wearing around camp. Love'm and can't believe I haven't bought them sooner. Can't wait to see what these baby's will do during white water season and in the canyons. These definitely run large. I usually wear a 8.5 and ended up getting a 7. There is still room in front of my toes."
