The Teva Men's Gateway Mid Hiking Boot is on the lighter side of mid-height boots, and it improves stability and support for day hikes. Most of the upper consists of recycled ripstop, and leather suede adds sturdiness to the heel. Underfoot, a soft footbed cradles your foot while the molded EVA midsole maintains shock absorption step after step. An ESS shank enhances the stable support you'd expect out of a bigger boot.

Hoped for a good replacement
Wore these for 1 day and feet hurt so bad. Footbed is flat as a pancake. No arch support at all. Will have to purchase some sort of insoles to get some arch support. Had a previous pair of Teva that I absolutely loved but boot was discontinued. Checked the model #, searched the internet trying to find a replacement but never could find it. Similar to Riva. Wore the things till they came apart.

So far so good
Fit is ok, 12 was too small but 13 is almost too big. Would have preferred a 12.5 but unavailable. Otherwise an ok shoe, hopefully will prove a good hiker.

Stylish and confortable
This boots are very confortable, true to size. Not durable, not for rock hiking.

I will not buy it again.
I work in an area where I need waterproof shoes and this were not what I expected.

I prefer the Arrowood Venture, MID, WP
While this is a very nice shoe, I prefer the Arrowood Venture, MID, WP which, unfortunately Teva does not carry anymore. I had a nice pair, but spilled gasoline on them when a gas pump did not automatically cut off while filling my car. I was devastated as these were the best shoes I've ever owned. I tried the Gateway Mid around the house. However, the material is just not to my liking and it's not waterproof.

Love Teva Shoes, These Miss the Mark
I've purchased 7 pairs of the Highside 84s. Have no idea why they discontinued them. Stumbled on these while searching for a replacement and thought I'd give them a shot. The front half of the right shoe lost all its form the first time I put them on. The toe area just completely crumbled like it was made of tissue paper and made the shoes look very cheap. Please bring back the Highside 84.

Super lightweight and comfy
Used so far for walking, driving, cycling, hanging out. I knotted the laces so they don't slip out when fully loosened, and that way they're great for slipping on and off at the door. Laced up snug, good for walking and plenty of toe-wiggle room. Have yet to try them with heavier socks when chilly, but shoe itself not warm.

Lightweight and very comfortable
I have purchased over 8 pair of Teva boots and they did not disappoint, again! Excellent comfort and very light weight! I recommend this boot!

Love the look- hate the feel
These shoes were way too narrow for a men's shoe. I liked how they looked but could not put my foot through that pain.

Very comfortable, lightweight and sturdy
Nice design, simple but catchy. Shoe is very comfortable and quite light but also surprisingly sturdy. Only downside is if your foot is narrow, the area between the toe and the beginning of laces may rise up, or ripple, rather than fit tightly over the foot - seems to be a characteristic of the material the upper is made from.
